After taking the time to go on " THE DEN" ( Arkansas State's message boards) I have learned that the majority of the Red Wolves fans are very optimistic. They believe if they can spread us out and widen the field they can expose our secondary. They also are in hopes of getting back an experienced offensive lineman ( Makllan) to bolster their young offensive line . They think they will be able to establish a running game based on Iowa and North Dakota's running production. They have little respect for Coach Heacock's defense and feel they have a good chance.
That being said... what do you see are IOWA STATE's keys to victory?

I can understand the drive to go after our LBs and DL, but going after our secondary seems like a stretch. I welcome that strategy.

They must not have watched the Iowa game. Iowa didn't beat us over the air (they lost over the air, actually). They mostly beat us downfield with off-tackle and stretch running.

Apparently they're not familiar with the strength of our team. If their rushing attack can't force us to pull safeties up in support, they are going to have a long day trying to spread us out.

Perhaps it's a false-flag operation???? :)
Promote the opposite of what they plan to do!!!!

I think the key to victory is getting to the stadium on time and dressed to play. The rest will take care of itself.

I'm not going to get too excited over some message board experts' opinions. I'm going to assume their experienced coaching staff are not idiots and are not going to play directly into the strengths of our team. That seems like that would be too easy, and that is not the Iowa State experience.

Bold strategy of following North Dakota's plan of "do whatever it takes to not get blown out." Moving the ball between the 20's on us is going to happen, but 1 TD in 5 Red Zone trips; you want to kick FGs good luck to you.

3 touchdown favorites doesn't scream ripe for an upset, but I don't expect an absolute blowout either.

If it's a close game I don't think it will because our secondary gets exposed.

Yeah, I was concerned when I saw the Michigan score, but when I saw game recap, they were up 28-3 going into 4th quarter, AFTER turning the ball over at least three if not four times. Arkansas scored twice in last two drives, when Michigan was said to have second and third units on the field. At least that is what I read.

I remember seeing similar vibes from UND fans and Iowa fans spent all week clamoring about how they would destroy us......when will they learn?

less we forget 9/16/23...... just saying....

Hopefully ISU doesn't have their starting QB throwing up this time and guys like Noel are playing instead of standing on the sideline probably hoping to not do the same.

OL and DL will be keys like about any other game. The rest is everyone else playing off of that and being strong fundamentally.
