I am debating whether or not ot turn our air on. Our downstairs is pretty reasonable, but upstairs is ridiculous. Anyone else have theirs on?

We turned it on last night. Even with all of our windows open and the fan on, we couldn't sleep. Turned it back off this morning, and it got to 79 degrees upstairs. It's back on now.

That was my problem last night too. I'm trying to be a good sport, but it's getting pretty toasty in here.

Yeah, I can't imagine tonight will be any better than last night, even with more wind kicking through the windows (unless you've got some really lucky window placement! Ours are all south and east.).

Our house feels beautiful, we have windows on north and south through the living room so we get some good cross breeze going. I love this time of year.

No AC yet in my place, keeps nice and cool with the widows open. Though at the office I don't have opening windows so had to turn it on there

How is it too warm for you right now with windows open and fans running? I usually don't even think about turning on the AC until it's going to be in the mid-high 80s consistently.

However, I don't turn on the heat until my home gets down to 60 either.

I have a four level split. The basement is nice and cool, the next level is fairly comfortable, the walk-in level is a bit warm, and the upstairs is around 80. After we get some other things taken care of for the house, we are going to look into one of those zone comfort systems with multiple thermostats.

Same here - three-stories, all above-ground (no basement). It gets way worse as you go upstairs.

Well, of course it gets worse as you get upstairs, but even 80 isn't that bad in my opinion. It's warm, but not bad.

After the past 3 winters we have had...I'll take anything above average right now.

80 degrees in the house now is a completely differrent animal than 80 degrees in the house come mid June and on.
After being cold for so long...it feels good.

Same goes for an early fall. After being hot all summer....I love the cooler temps in Sept. and Oct.
