Any Bo Williams update?

Wow someone that gets it.... amazing! Yup, a spread is just that.... It looks to optimize one on one matchups by spreading out the width, and depth, of the field. Bo will get plenty of chances... a power running back can be huge in a spread offense. I don't know why people have been saying that a spread doesn't utilize a power back. It sure can.

And Tom Herman said that he was going to match the offense to the talent we have.

Because of this, I'm pretty sure there's no way he's leaving.

Rice ran 952 offensive plays last year. 678 (71%) were either pass or QB run. I also see where their QB scored 12 of their 21 rushing TD's so Herman must like to leave it in the QB's hands when they are close to the goal line.

If Bo wants to continue to play D1 football then he will stay. His only other option is 1AA or pay his own way. Unless you get a waiver, which is very rare, you can't transfer twice and you certainly can't transfer back to the SEC, even with a stop in between.

agree, a power running back just makes your spread offense that much better.

A power back that can catch the ball and block will get plenty of action in the spread offense. Power backs will have a great chance to have big plays in the spread because defenses have a hard time gang tackling when they are spread all over the field.

I dont think they can tell you your just plain not allowed to transfer can they? You just lose the year of eligibility as a punishment. Tyrone Mckenzie transferred twice, he did get a waiver to play right away but I dont think he needed the waiver just to transfer to the school.

You can't transfer twice and play on scholarship unless you have a waiver. If you transfer out of an SEC school, you can't play at another one on scholarship period, even if you transfer somewhere else first...

What is so hard for everyone to understand? Tom Herman specifically has said that he plans the offense around the talent that he has on the field. To do anything other than that would be stupid.

So... if Bo Williams is the even half the player we all hope he is... he will get the ball plenty! If Bo Williams has the talent and ability to run for 1500 yds this year.... he is going to get the ball.

Herman understood at Rice that his QB and TE were the two most talented athletes on the entire team. So he got them the ball in their hands the most. Does that make sense to anyone? If we don't have a TE as good as Rice did... then our TE won't get the ball as much.

Herman will not run the same offense that he did at Rice, unless he feels we are talented in the exact same areas that Rice was... which I doubt will be the case. Like I said.... if Bo Williams... or anyone else for that matter.... proves to Herman just how good they are in practice... he will find a way to get them the ball in their hands. Trust me on that.

I would think qa fast powerful running back would get quite a few touches . Maybe the Rice qb was a better runner than AA.
