I hit a deer late afternnon yesterday. The deer ran off and my car seems still drivable although a chunk of the front bumper is missing. I just wonder if my car may suffer any internal damage. Is it worth to have my honda dealer examine the interior of my car?

Thank you very much for any advice you may have

Do you have comprehensive coverage on your auto insurance? What is your deductible?

Did the deer pee on your car seat? Don't think the interior needs checked out, but you may want them to take a look at the frame.

Take it to a body shop and have them take a look. Pretty much everyone does an estimate for free and the good ones can tell with the naked eye if there is any frame or engine damage.

If the deer ran off, I would guess that you're not dealing with internal damage. You can always have it checked if you're concerned.

I'd advise you not to.

I'm with cycopath, too bad the deer ran off-those backstraps are mighty tasty.

Depends where and how you hit. Comprehensive will cover it. Might not be a bad idea to get it checked out so you know.

I would go to a mechanic and have him check to make sure your blinker fluid tank didnt get damaged and tell him to rotate the air in your tires. i would probably replace your continuum transfunctioner, i hit a deer and had to replace both the left and the right side coolent bags

I've heard of a lot of people hitting deer lately. Freaks me out when I ride my motorcycle.

I'd take it in. If you tweeked the frame even just a little, it can affect a lot of other things.

I would check your alignment no matter what. You do not want to be buying tires every 6 months

The last deer that I hit sent my left front head lamp skyward and cracked my windshield. You are lucky that it was just a piece of the bumper. The bumper did its job.

Finding the lowest possible auto insurance quotes online that can lead to considerable savings is the best thing you can do. The secret is simply to compare the rates of 4 different insurance companies and the one that can give you with the best rate and coverage is the one to go for. Just my two cents.
