If the Thunder go out early in the playoffs I could see Brooks being fired. There is a college coach that would be extremely high on their list but it's not Hoiberg.

Fran?
That is exactly the type of opportunity that would worry me. The opportunity to coach a player that could go down as one of the greatest of all time would really give one pause.
@WideRtNattyLt: Timberwolves have had 10 head coaches in 24 yrs. Do you really want to be The Mayor of a place with a term length of 2.4 yrs, Fred Hoiberg?

As a T-Wolves fan, I would be OK with this. Stan is a very good coach. There it is Stan Van Gundy, your next T-Wolves coach...
@ESPNSteinLine: Been discussing Izzo/Hoiberg for some time as candidates to replace Adelman, but here's a new name I'm told interests Wolves: Billy Donovan.
I think I heard Fred once say he wanted to coach about 10 years in College then move on to the NBA as a coach or more likely a GM

What's funny is the sarcastic freak out tweets outnumber the actual freak out tweets 100-0.
If you posted one of them, examine yourself. Quit shutting down others opinion with hyperbole before you even see it.
My two cents. I think he will leave for the NBA in 5-10 years, and wait for a good situation. His continued low NBA buyout is my main indicator, as well as my perception that Fred wants to compete at the highest level. This is not a "freak out".
Again, I don't think he'll leave for Minnesota this year, but mentioning that the coach of his former team, and the team where he was in the front office, IS relevant news, and can be discussed without the sarcastic freak out posts.
