@TravisHines21: Another NBA team enters the Hoiberg speculation RT @timkawakami Here's a Warriors-instability update: http://t.co/uLX7QtDHwJ

Hey warriors, wish in one hand and **** in the other...see which fills up first. :)

Love that CFH is on everyone's wish list.....especially after reviewing the thread about all of our thoughts/initial reactions to his hire four years ago. Dude is cash money.

I'm sure his name will be floated for the Pacers job if that comes open too. Maybe the OKC job as well.

I had the same thought watching the Pacers last night... Not that I think CFH will go, but the connection to the franchise is there thus, I assume Hoiberg will be mentioned.
I don't see OKC opening up this year, Memphis is a quality team and the series is a toss up. If it did to I expect an experienced coach with rings to be the target, though Durant has been in support of Kevin Ollie's coaching so that could be a possibility if they went into the college ranks.

OKC is definitely opening up if the Thunder don't make it to at least the WCF and it's probably a couple of years overdue. Brooks is not a good coach. The Thunder are starting to get a real Cleveland circa 2008 feel to them. Despite having the best scorer in the game and an elite second option they still are extremely predictable offensively. The Thunder's offense has long been extremely isolation based and once their initial look is stopped they have very few counter actions that they run. The fact that it took Brooks three games to realize that he should play Reggie Jackson, the only other guy on the team who can get his own shot, over the 39 year old Fisher speaks for itself.

I'm sure Kevin Ollie's name will be mentioned for that job, but like you said, whoever takes the job is going to have two years to win a title. Trying to do that while putting together a staff and learning the NBA coaching ropes on the go would be quite the challenge. The Wizards making the ECF's this year is also bad news for the Thunder. People are already starting to push the Durant coming home to DC angle. No premier free agent would have ever seriously the Wizards as a contender but all of a sudden teaming up with a Wall-Beal backcourt looks pretty tempting.

I too question alot of Brooks coaching moves and I think ownership could justify firing him. Currently, I am of the opinon that OKC managment groomed him and believe in his abilities. Also Brooks did get the Thunder to the Finals just 2 years ago, and has to deal with the Hardin trade and 2 Westbrook knee injuries since. Thunder owners are quite thrifty with their money and I don't think they want to fire Brooks and pay the price it would take to get a proven winning coach on top of that. I just think he'll be back next year, and if they don't finish better next year a change will be made.

Did you just call 2008 Mo Williams an elite second option and compare him to Russell Westbrook?

Not at all. Those second bolded sentence is unrelated to this first. Same feel as Cleveland in a sense of having a very good regular season team, that struggles scoring in the playoffs and is starting to feel a lot of pressure to win now before their all-time great player leaves when his contract is up.

They just need to give it up.

People in the league don't view Hoiberg as a college coach. Guys like Izzo or Coach K are college guys through and through. As far as the league in concerned, Hoiberg is an NBA guy who just happens to be coaching college right now.

Puke. They need to stop. This stuff doesn't go away, does it? I'm not super worried but I wish everyone would get their stupid coach hired.

I'm not buying it. The people I talk to would love to have him but know the ship sailed when he signed his extension. I do get the feeling that he will again be at the top of their short list for when they are looking again two years down the road.

When all of your options suck (nobody in their right mind would take the T-Wolves job unless Kevin Love agree's to an extension) you have to put out small rays of hope to your fan base.
