Sorry, I'm not asking you to follow Jesus. That's up to you. I just find those 3 words used together as terribly offensive. But I agree with many, let's not censor anything if this isn't considered as offensive as other curse words.

Contrary to this thread, I'm actually really laid back and several people on here can vouch.

I was just giving feedback. I should have known better.

I’m primarily a Hawk fan and said exactly the same thing on a Hawk board. Unfortunately got similar responses and I’m sure I’ll add to the childish comments you are getting here by supporting you. It’s very disappointing to see what our society has evolved to. Hang in there!

Maybe stop trying to force your religious beliefs onto other people.
This is ridiculous, there are a number of things that are blocked out because some fringe group finds it offensive. Only when it might offend groups not considered fringe is it for some reason OK. Either the OP's point is valid, or all should be unblocked. I'm fine with either but right now the policy is very inconsistent. I find the phrase offensive, but I'm not necessarily of the opinion that I need to be protected from offensive dicks on here.

Edit: You ****, just wanted to see if the nonplural was blocked since someone claimed it was. There you go, just make it plural.

I wasn't aware of this. Can you give some examples?

Politely asking for a little bit of decency is not garbage behavior or un-American.

He literally admitted he wanted it censored because it was against his religious beliefs. The J was what he found offensive. That's pushing his religion on everyone else.

And yes, doing that absolutely is garbage behavior.

I would be fine with dropping the filters entirely. But most words that are filtered are filtered because they are commonly 'profane' words. The standard stuff your average OTA tv network would bleep.

Weird that you turn it into a "help, the Christians are being oppressed if we can't push ourselves onto others" narrative though

the thing is most Christians miss what don't take the lords name in vain means. It is not saying his name, if that is the case then God is some authoritarian insecure prick. No, what it really is about is people like Joel Olstreem using the lord to take advantage of people.

This is not accurate. The Joel Osteen analogy is correct, but only as a small fraction of "Don't take the Lord's name on vain" full meaning. Using the name of God as a profanity is 100% part of it as well.
