According to ESPN

Biggest rising star: Alexander Robinson, RB, Iowa State: Yeah, yeah, Robinson's already risen. His profile hasn't. But after rushing for over 1,200 yards in 2009 and leading his team to seven wins, it should have. Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads says Robinson has improved significantly from the end of last season to now, and if he duplicates or exceeds last year's production, and leads Iowa State to a surprising win or two, he could become a star.

A healthy A-Rob is a difference maker on the field. If our line can give him some holes, he should be a lot of fun to watch this year.

Also, from everything I have read and heard, he is a great guy off the field too. What a great representative for our university.

He was a top RB in the league despite having a strained groin last year. If he's healthy, we beat KU and KSU as well. He hobbled for what, a 37 yard gain? His goal should be 1500 yards.

This. You have to love it that he is a class act. He is a great player and should do very well this season against some tough defenses. I can't wait to see him get a crack at OU, Texas, and Nebraska this year. 1,500 yards is not out of the question for a rb of his caliber.

Maybe someone could manufacture a reincarnation of the TD Yard-o-meter for A Rob.

This guy is terrific. Most of us when he started playing were like "Who?" now he is in my opinion the top back in the Big 12.

Guys let's hold back here a little. A-Rob will be one of the three best backs next year. I don't disagree with that. The thing is, this staff is focused on cutting his carries and workload. Ultimately I think that leads to the same numbers, perhaps even less, if possible. Does that make him worse? Hell no, but numbers matter when you are ISU. You have to put up good numbers to be recognized. I would love for ARob to go for 1500 as much as the next guy, but I just don't see it happening unless he is going for 7 per.

Yeah, I don't know what sort of stats he will put up, but I do know that he seems like a heck of a receiver out of the backfield too.

I just am wondering what his backup is going to be able to do. I think ARob will get his stats and do his part, but for some reason I am thinking that the difference between a winning and losing season is going to hinge on how capable his backup is.

Great pub for ARob and ISU. This is awesome to see. Win some big games....(Neb and a Bowl win over Minn).... and these things start to happen. RESPECT.

Win Clones. Just win!! Go State.

You know, this is well said. And A-Rob is the type of guy that would have no problem with this as well. Let's get W's .....and that is ALL that MATTERS to this team next year.

Teams will very much "key" on him the entire season..... we will need to use him in different ways.....to get the chains movin'. His back-ups MUST be ready to rock this year too.

I hope he doesn't get 1500 yards or more, because that will mean a back up such as Shontrelle or other crew isn't very good

 It would say nothing about the other runningbacks. Shontrelle will red shirt unless he is head and shoulders above the rest of the backs.

arob's success this year could hinge on arnaud and the passing game. teams will key on the run this year and we will need a good year from austen this year as well
