friends got together last night and we bought up 12 of them. I am glad they let us get a bunch together. I was worried they would limit us.

For what its worth. We got 12 in a row and could only do best available and not pick. Tried calling ticket office to get 6 in one row and 6 behind but they said with these mini packs even they can't pick seats for people.

Been in section 2 for eight years. I would hate to move as everyone around us has been there as long has we have and we keep in touch throughout the year. Loyalty not only to ISU, but also to our surrounding friends in section 2. Yeah we have been intoxicated a few times, stormed the field a few times, gutted out the losses to the final second, went home without a voice a few times (Okie State ring a bell?), and weathered the heat and frigid temps numerous times!!

You don't buy Iowa State season tickets because it is a good investment or a good deal. You buy them because it feels good to support the University.

There can be fundamental differences in fans. To me the games are nothing more than entertainment which I weigh the time and value against other forms of entertainment. There has to be a point where a fan (customer) can question the value in the university's asking price and look for an alternative.

We should get our money back plus a case of beer of our choice if we lose to UNI

This is very true and it's why the corner basketball tickets are the best entertainment value in the state IMO. I think face value on the tickets were $10 last year, and that got you into the ISU v Kansas Gameday game, which you could argue was the biggest sports event in the country that day. Not too shabby.

Crazy good deal, but it confirms that the end zone is not getting filled, and this will result in more black and gold in the stadium. They can watch their two favorite teams play (purple iowa and iowa). Although, they are not exactly pumped for football either, so maybe not.

I remember a few short years ago it was tough to get into those rivalry games, and now you can go to each for pretty cheap. Interest in football at an all-time low in the state of Iowa?

Ugh. This sucks. Season ticket holders have not yet gotten the option to pick up some extra Iowa game tickets (that will likely go to ISU fans), and Iowa fans can buy this cheap mini-pack? Ticket sales must really be hurting.

haven't they gotten $100 hillside tickets for Iowa in the past? I'd say you could get $50 for the Iowa and UNI games pretty easily, especially if you don't mind selling to the enemy.

They've never gotten $100/ticket for hillsides, but a few years ago when hillside season tickets were only $100 (before they went up to $125 and now became unavailable) I know a lot of Iowa fans who would buy a hillside season ticket, go to the Iowa game and sell off the other 5 or 6 games, or eat them.

I waited too long and I'm in the left side (looking from field) of Q so my neck will be sore by the end of the games. Woooo.

Yes there is as I was searching for some tickets. Ended up picking up 5 tickets. Will be a good start to see the new sight lines and perhaps go for season tickets next year.

LindenCy, go to the main page for http://www.jacktricestadium.org/ and click on the black tab on the right that says Jack Trice Stadium Virtual Venue.

Exactly. There are a lot of things worthy of charity, IMO ISU football is pretty low on my list.

Lol there is still donor tickets where donors will have first choice. Who cares about corner tickets? I don't unerstand why people are crying about this.

How is anyone to know? Those sections never existed before now.

The site has a Virtual Venue way of getting sample views.

The view from the front of the upper deck sections M and P will have views comparable to the top row corners of the old endzone bleachers. I think they will be great.

Uh no. The endzone seats on top are $175.

Season ticket 175 6 games
mini pack. 200 6 games

Of course it wouldn't work out that cleanly because the last three games of the 6 on the mini pack calculation aren't purchased and those may go as singles or a different price later.

I realize they are slightly more expensive but had considered buying season tickets this year. However, I will be taking a longer vacation in Oct (missing at least one game) and had something else come up so three tickets with all winnable games inc. Iowa as well as good weather sold me. There will prob be empty seats for the Texas and OSU games, unless we happen to be in a position to be close to six wins.

Of course this assumes the value of every game is equal.

In the average season ticket, UNI, Iowa, and Texas are the vast majority of the value. So buy the minipack and pick up a nearly free ticket from someone outside the stadium for the KU\TCU\OSU games and youre well ahead of someone who bought full seasons in that section.
