Small wins. Haven't had a dermatology appt in a long time, heard wait times are really long to get in, like 3 months. Saw old Dr. who sold his biz (now the Pinnacle chain of clinics) and moved away was back with his own office. Just called and they have an appt cancellation tomorrow I can get. Simple pleasures, man. ;)

That's really lucky. I schedule mine 4-5 months ahead. I guess we're lucky. Both a friend and a relative in England say their wait is at about nine months. From what I understand, Botox appointments are sucking most of the slots.

Is this doc a dermatologist or family/adult practice?

Dermatologist.
Good. The way you worded it, I wasn't sure. I asked Lew to get a referral to a dermatologist for a total body scan with a dermatologist (former redhead with years of sun exposure). Instead, his primary care took a few pics and said oh, you're good to go. I kept nagging Lew, and he finally got the referral a couple of years later. Yup. Too late. He ended up having to get MOHS surgery done on a Basal cell carcinoma on the side bridge of his nose...which would have been a LOT easier to to deal with while it was still PRE cancerous. I basically don't trust PCPs to know the finer points of dermatology.

For those so inclined, the Iowa Craft Beer Tent at the Iowa State Fair is part of the state's Choose Iowa program. This is the new beer offering, which I would try only if someone bought it for me.

Yield of Dreams corn lager will be on tap at the Iowa Craft Beer Tent. Brewed using Iowa corn, the beer represents a partnership between Choose Iowa, Iowa Corn, the Iowa Brewers Guild, and Confluence Brewing Company.
