Per an email I received this morning. It will be on the eastern edge of the park, around 12th and Locust, I think. They say it should have similar capacity. 2 day passes go on sale this weekend for $60, VIP for $100.

I'm really excited about this. There were some GREAT acts that played last year, and with the festival breaking even (which is unheard of for a first year music festival), hopefully this year is even better. I'm personally hoping for Wilco to be a headliner, I think with their new album coming out, and their midwest roots, its a perfect fit. Should be awesome.

I think the event would do much better overall if they did it on a non-holiday weekend.

Definitely some truth to that, but it sounds like last year was pushing the capacity of the area/infrastructure, etc. They also have to work it around a lot of the other festivals out there.

I actually work in a building on 12th and Locust. So basically I think it's around 13th and locust. Right across the street from Ford and Garland audio.

Pull up tour dates of bands you like, see who is in the area and maybe they are in. At least send suggestions to the music coalition...

When are they going to release the schedule?

I think Miley Cyrus should headline:jimlad:

But seriously, shouldn't we be finding out who's playing soon?

Next couple of weeks according to the email. Drive-By Truckers are not scheduled anywhere during that time period . They aren't big enough to headline, but they put on one hell of a set last year...

yeah, wilco would've been perfect for the venue and vice versa. i'd like to see the black keys here. they could both bring in people and make converts of those who haven't seen/heard them before.

I agree. Bigger festivals like Rothbury, Summerfest, etc. are that weekend and other big cities have 4th parties.

They could pull a better line up if they picked a different weekend.

I doubt it. Bands are going to cost the same no matter what weekend they are playing on.

I heard rumors of Beck, Widespread Panic, and Sound Tribe Sector 9.

This is the first Ben Harper Rumor I heard, but I like it. Either way I already bought my early bird ticket.
