It's effectively why the Chiefs stopped running QB sneaks. Wasn't worth the injury risk with Mahomes after he got hurt on the play. They've generally tried to get more creative and likely less effective on those short plays.Getting back to this. At some point defenders are going to start taking shots at QBs as they get stood up on these plays. Best way to stop it is if it puts the QB at risk for injury. Having a guy come over the top to deliver a head shot to the QB would make a coach think twice. Even if you’re giving up 15 yards, it may be worth it to some teams.
Purdy got a concussion on a QB sneak. Ever since they run it sparingly and he gets down quick.Getting back to this. He tried doing that to a different Steelers QB, so he's definitely ready.

Yeah, that's how I understand it as well. Supposedly he's keeping all options open including sitting out a year and re-entering the draft next year. With draftable players now having some money in their pocket due to NIL/Revenue sharing in college, I wonder if we'll start to see more drafted players push back against rookie contract language going forward. It removes some of the leverage that the NFL had, for at least some players, anyway. From what I understand, the contract the Bengals offered had a clause that they haven't utilized before with any other player (involves potential to void guaranteed money). I don't blame Stewart for holding out on something like that. The players association is also putting a lot of pressure on him to hold out as well.
They routinely bungle contract negotiations. The Bengals continue to Bengal.
Hello Susanna HoffsFixed it as they have been called the Bungles. Not to be confused with The Bangles.

I thought first round rookie deals were pretty standard, not much negotiating allowed? From what I understand, the contract the Bengals offered had a clause that they haven't utilized before with any other player (involves potential to void guaranteed money).
