Tyrese was everywhere yesterday. From national pundits but he was discussed every segment of KC sports radio which routinely neglects any NBA talk.

This is how you become a superstar. Everything since after Lebron and Kyrie has felt media manufactured.

It's important to note the transformation in perception happening before our eyes. Tyrese was thought of as a gimmick player during last year's run. This year? He has produced SO much evidence regarding his quality that popular opinion is changing in real time. Obviously, we've seen this happen in many different sports, but it's still special every time.

Edit: I feel like a dope for not seeing @Dgilbertson 's post above mine, but they freaking nailed it.

From an ESPN article by R. Shelburne:
McCaffery, Clark's boyfriend, was a player development intern on the Pacers' staff, and he had played against Haliburton in college -- Haliburton at Iowa State, McCaffery at Iowa -- but their friendship grew once McCaffery joined the Pacers.

"Me and Connor would talk all the time about [Clark's] journey," Haliburton said. "But I refused to cheer for Caitlin until she got out of college because I'm not cheering for Iowa."

As the season went on and it was clear the Fever would have a good chance at landing Clark with the No. 1 pick, Haliburton finally relented.
