I guess Kysen is still going to compete
unfortunately, with all the NIL $ being tossed around nothing is off the tableCasey leaving would surprise me, but nothing is off the table. OSU could throw a significant amount of money his way, and they don’t have a Paniro and AE already right at his weight so the path to the lineup is easier there.
Not saying it’s going to happen, just there are plenty of reasons to think it could.

I think it is going to be a very active portal seasonThis next month if portal season is shaping up to be very interesting.
I hope this is just message board rumors and he doesn't transfer as I love Casey, but if he does I don't consider it a major red flag on the staff. We have a more limited NIL budget than Oklahoma State does, so if they are willing to throw big money at Casey, it might make sense to save our budget for other spots/transfers since we have Paniro and potentially Ech at 149. If they can't compete with Okie State's offer, I don't blame them. I also don't blame wrestlers looking to maximize their earnings while in college. If Casey ends up anywhere else that would be a major red flag for this staff.
Edit: Okay explain why you disagree?
Casey is the guy you want on your team. Listen to last year with David and pushing him. That is a not only a vocal leader but a leader by doing that this team needs.
I'm all for having this discussion
I have thought Casey would end up the odd man out for a while honestly. I don’t want any of them in that range to leave because I like them all, but the numbers don’t add up to everyone staying in my opinion. If Casey ends up anywhere else that would be a major red flag for this staff.

My somewhat educated guess is that we are a ways behind PSU/Iowa/Oklahoma St, a little ways behind Ohio St/Michigan, but ahead of most everyone else. A few other schools that dabble in some NIL - Rutgers, VT UNC, etc. It can change really fast with one big donor. Michigan and Iowa NIL programs are backed by a very small number of people. How does our NIL stack up vs the competition? Surely we aren't competing with OSU/Iowa/PSU but I would think we are right near the top of that second tier.
Find a life boat type of scenario maybe? And don't mean it in a bad way for either guy just mean it find a spot before the flood happens and there isn't room left.I do find it interesting that two of the first announced transfers of the portal season are ISU guys.
