I’m over my head in who is out there and who we have a legit chance at but atleast it’s a spot to catalog the upcoming rat race…

Goes without saying we need the BAP (Best Available Player) if I can steal from NFL Draftniks at our upper weights 174-197…

Only 2 I will throw in with my limited knowledge…
197- Novak from Wyo- only reason would bc he’s from Minnesota and maybe wants to get closer to home? Did we recruit out of HS?
197-Little from Little Rock…maybe he wants to join a top 5 national club

Isn't Volk a 125 pounder?

I think Bartelt is the plan at 184
I would be all for this. if we could bring in facundo for 165 and someone for 197 and stay healthy i think our lineup could be unbelievably tough

125-castillo/meza
133- Frost
141 swid/AE
149- Swid/AE
157- Paniro
165-Facundo
174-MJ
184- Bartelt
197- Novak/Little
Hwt- Yonger
this is assuming chittum takes his redshirt year to get healthy

I’m ok with that, but it’s a bit nerve wracking that our current 184 contenders (Bartelt and Naak) both had significant injuries this year.

I do think Novak would be in play for Minnesota (Salazar will be gone) and Elam is probably wearing a different black and gold singlet.

This is a good lineup. 84/97 need upgrades and that’s it.

If paniro AAs this year I can’t see him going up willingly. He would lose some of the advantage he had a 149 which is to be stronger than everyone else.

I think the wish list is pretty simply Facundo (whichever weight he wants 165/174) and a 197. A 184 would be the cherry on top, but obviously I think expectations are high for Bartelt.

I'd throw up if the 197 is AJ Ferrari. That deal would have to include Angelo and even then it'd be gross.

Has there been “legs” to Facundo from Penn State? We definitely need to zero in on the top 5 rosters that guys get recruited over and or don’t quite fit as once expected and be the best option for them to join a new team and culture!

Schon impressed as he gained more mat time and definitely feel he has a future. What that entails remain to be seen but if we can upgrade I don’t want to settle for “serviceable” with what next years roster looks like on paper…

With the rash of injuries to some of the younger more “unproven” guys I definitely don’t like leaning heavily on them to fill the void right away. If we can get that transfer get him and allow a slower more complete recovery combined with a new wrestling partner in the room

Would this be the set of “eyes” that was mentioned at the Flo event a few weeks ago that would see the value of training alongside Carr in the CRTC? Referencing Facundo?!

if it were me, im going to let euton and riggins battle it out at 165. really like euton. has a motor like caseys, which seems to fit this staffs style. i value points at nationals over a few dual wins. and if that means throwing the money we have towards a high school recruit (future points), then so be it.

That's a top 2-3 roster if everyone stayed healthy.
