Our family meet him along with the team this summer at their outdoor practice at the first fball game. He was such a likeable and well spoken kid that raved about Ames and his new “home”. Truly hope he will rejoin the team.
I'm all for giving Carroll another shot if he and the staff feel like his head is in it and he's locked in on weight and conditioning.

No matter where CC ends up, I'm a fan. Always approachable and a very polite young man. If he finds his way back to Ames, that's great. If he doesn't, I wish him only the best.
The more I think about it, AJ to ISU makes a lot of sense to me. I’m down for it. He’s had a full year now staying out of trouble, I think he has earned a shot at a big program.

Seems like Chittum is well liked in the locker room and I just don’t see AJ getting to that point in any program.
To me that’s worth more than what he could bring on the mat. Plus I still think Chittum has a high AA finish in him.

IMO Culture over time will trump “buying” stop gap transfers…not saying we don’t get transfers but they have to fit otherwise you jeopardize what your trying to establish. Fill “holes” with transfers don’t “build” rosters with them and I think EIU is trying the later as a last ditch effort and it will result in a never ending money grab and will put them in worse spot.
From our discussion on CC, he’s a prime example of a top level world class talent that’s young and we can build around rather than getting that type of talent on a one year rental that breaks the bank, it’s why I’m so hopeful he returns…glaring need at upper weights, hs all his eligibility and will draw others at upper weights to backfill down the road

Count me out on draining our NIL to potentially destroy our team. A second chance with a big program should be enough payment for a guy like him, but you know he's going to be demanding a bag.
If it would bring you Angelo too, I think I'm all for it. Perry has insight into what AJ is like in a locker room, and if Perry tells KD it's worth it then I am for it. Chittum's issue was with the middle one, not AJ or Angelo. Have to be the same messaging with AJ as Ech- you're on your last strike, don't take this opportunity for granted, and you better be a model teammate or cut bait.
