Speaking as a Vikings fan, however, I’d really prefer they not draft anyone remotely resembling LaQuan Treadwell. And that would include the USC kid, too.

Agreed! Treadwell was one of many 1st round busts for Spielman. I like Pierce in round 5, if he is available. He's 6'3" and ran something like a 4.41 40.

As a fellow Vikings fan, let me ask you this... Do you take Stingley or McDuffie at #12? Assuming Gardner is off the board, of course.

I think Stingley and Gardner are both off the board by 12.

Just a thought. If we happen to get two or three players drafted in the top three or four rounds, it’s going to give this staff a real step up in Draft cred to use on the recruiting trail.

First 3 are drafted. Gotta think we get 1 more drafted, but I'm skeptical beyond that.

I could see a couple more guys getting camp invites. That's not UFA, so there's not much money there, but at least it's a shot. Was thinking Eisworth, Newell, Zach Peterson, Walling, Foster. Not sure if any of them want to pursue it, but it wouldn't surprise me if a few of them at least get a tryout.
