I am hoping the Bulls make a couple moves for back up guards outside the draft.

Jones is a stud too, and a great fit for Fred's offense.

They are the best players who fell this low, I don't know about Montrezzzlzllzlz Harrell.

Just saw it is Portis. Good pick as long as they have a plan for backcourt depth. If not it could be a big mistake. Portis has as good a chance as being a very good pro as Tyus Jones, maybe more.

Portis is 6'11? Damn! Did not know he was that tall.

I noted earlier he was 14-30 from 3 this year. That's a bit of a potential x-factor with him too. Makes me wonder what played into him taking so few, he was 2-2 against us, 8-10 overall.

I think Portis will be okay, but I think he's a role player who lacks the mental part to be a star - much like I view Harrison Barnes. Jones could be the next Tony Parker.

They probably drafted him based on that game.

I watched him in a few other SEC games and he has a deadly mid-range jumper, nice turnaround jumpshot, and very active around the rim. He should be able to contribute right away, even with Noah and Gasol.

Something tells me he will be eventually replacing Gibson or Noah.

If they have the same team more or less they have to be among the longest wingspan teams on the planet now. After Rose and a bench guard or two pretty much everybody else you can play has ridiculous length including Butler at SG.

They really do need an extra playmaker at guard, even if Rose is healthy. Will be interesting what move they make.

$24 million and 3 years left on his deal, that might be tough.

When I see your guy Thompson getting near max deal it reminds me of when Gibson's market value demanded it. Good luck with that ;-) I like Thompson, it just reminds me of the same scenario.
