Rony Nelson, CJ Morgan, Jeremiah George, Jarvis West, Albert Gary.
I'm gonna be a **** and say wrong answer, Although I get your point.

I'm most excited about Farniok. If we could have a 4 year starter at center, that would be huge.

Why you gotta be that way??

I think I was wrong anyways, because George didn't redshirt, IIRC. I hope they all come in and make an impact, but not saying they will. I expect we see George since Taufouo is suspended, and most likely, will miss some action.

Most people don't realize that ISU had FOUR JUCOs redshirting last year...Caspers, A.Young, Nelson and Givens. If you redshirt a JUCO, you should expect immediate impact the following year. Otherwise, if they weren't ever going to contribute, the coaches would have used them for depth and special teams and used up a year of eligibility. So, I think that all four of those guys are going to play.

Other than that:
Farniok - Will be in a competition with Tautolo (and possibly Tuftee) for the starting C spot that will go all spring, summer and through two-a-days.
Gannon/Dika/Graham/Loth - A year away. 1-2 may make the 2-Deep, but they aren't going to play any meaningful snaps outside of blocking for FG/XPs.
Morgan/Bennett - I'm still at a loss as to what position these guys play. S or LB? I do think that Morgan has the inside shot to grab the nickel LB spot if TB does go to Safety. Bennett will probably get in on some special teams.
Mattison - Here's our first chance at seeing the supposed physical freak. If he's as fast as they say, he's going to be a ST coverage monster. If not, well, I doubt that he's here all that long then because he's pretty small for a LB.
West - I have high hopes for him, but will probably be disappointed. Remember the staff trying to get Money Reynolds the ball in space? When the opponent KNOWS that's what you're trying to do, it doesn't work that well. I have a hard time seeing anyone take PR away from Lenz. I hope that Herman gets creative with West, though, because they could really use his elusiveness.
Knon/Jensen - Who knows? There is definitely room for these guys to jump into the rotation if they are good enough, but I suspect that they are a year or two away.
P.Richardson - I imagine if the coaches thought that he was ready to play, they wouldn't have signed Brun.
Hollis - IMO he'll see some time and likely force James White to either change positions or transfer plus he'll definitely force the coaches to keep the RS on Standard if not Nealy.
M.Thomas - He'll be in the two-deep...possibly the third CB if Benton plays Saftey. He's better than Watson or A.Young.
Barnett - You never know. I think that back injury really set him back. My prediction is that he's a 2nd team guy this fall. We'll know more this spring I guess.

Nice group, overall. I'm suprised that they were able to RS so many guys. I think that the players with the most snaps will be Farniok, West, Hollis and Thomas. But only Farniok has a legit chance to start.

According to Dika's dad (through another source), Shaban is supposedly vying for one of the OG spots. Take it for what it's worth. We will know a TON more after spring practice.

Personally I would think Caspers is ahead of all of the RSFr at guard but maybe some of the young guys are just that good. I am looking forward to the Farniok/Tautolo battle.

As far as Jarvis West goes, if he doesn't break the two deep in the slot, I hope he can make some noise on special teams. It would be nice to have a specialist that is not also a starter to protect our starting wideouts and DBs. Hopefully he has added a little bulk so he can take the physical beating of D1 football without losing his speed and agility.

I am interested to see what happens to White this year and next. By all accounts he is a good athlete, but if he can't beat out the young guys, a change might need to be made. I have little doubt that Hollis will play a lot more than White. One of the True Freshman might leapfrog White as well.

Matt Thomas is intriguing as well. I hope he turns out to be a steal. It will be nice if he gets some PT this year to help eas the loss of all of the upperclassmen next year. We might also need to have the True Freshman play so they know what to expect in an expanded role next year. We'll see.

Holy Crap I can't wait for football!

I think that is because ISU had Three JUCO's redshirting.

You may not have noticed a #4 Jersey out there on D last year, but I assure you the NCAA sure did and I think they run the redshirt program.

I hope Caspers plays quite a bit because I am pretty sure Rhoads said he would start or play a lot of snaps but he insisted that he wanted to be redshirted.

Caspers seems to have a good shot at a starting spot, but I am curious how big the gap is between him and the RSFr he's competing with. I think there will be a lot of competition for the open spots which will make the line that much better.

Right now we know that KO, Burris, and Hicks will more than likely be starting somewhere. The only possible switch for those three that I have heard mentioned would be to move KO to gaurd if someone can play LT better. That remains to be seen.

So, we will likely have a guard spot and the center spot to fill.

Does anyone know what positions the RSFr are currently playing? We know that Farniok is for sure at Center and will be fighting it out with Tautolo for the starting spot. I think Dika is at guard right now, but I am not sure on him or the others.

We have:
Dika
Gannon
Graham
Loth

I think two have been practicing mostly at guard and two have been at the tackles.

The last I saw was Gannon at LT, but I can't remember whether it was Graham or Loth who was listed at RT.

I think that it was Loth that plays RT (who knows if he stays there). We'll know a lot more when the pre-spring two-deep comes out in a few weeks.
