It was a very entertaining game last night, a great comeback by the Pacers, and a raucous atmosphere. I think Tyrese's dad just got caught up in the moment. It wasn't a good look, but Hali is saying all the right things and handling the situation as well as he can, Hali's dad likely will not be sitting courtside the rest of the playoff run IMO.

It is unfortunate people are talking about that altercation vs how great the game was last night. The drama during the game was far better than the post game drama. The game itself was very good

I'd guess this gets some heat and *I don't care if players talk but Hali talks a lot of **** and calling a Bucks' fan a ***** as was reported is not impressive.

Great player, reps the ISU brand and all but even his sophomore season he was often talking direct **** to the opponents' bench on a terrible team which I personally thought was also not impressive.

I personally don't have issues with trash talking between players. Vast majority of the time that stuff is in good fun. But a player can't talk negatively to fans, even if the fans are verbally harassing you. Let your actions on the court be your words to the fans. Easier said that done in some cases, but there is a line that cannot be crossed as a player when dealing with fans

Will always support former ISU players, but it is fair to criticize them for inappropriate actions. It's not the Iowa State standard

Edit: I also think Giannis could had handled the situation better as well by simply walking away/ignoring Tyrese's dad. Plenty of fault to go around to all parties involved

If a player goes after a fan in the stands the player is wrong, if a fan goes after a player on the court the fan is wrong, regardless of if their family or not. If this were just some dude that came onto the court to get in Giannis’ face are people still talking about how Giannis shares some blame?

overreact? It may have been a lapse of judgement and out of character but it is still a ****** look. Fans, even family of a star player have no business on the court talking **** to opposing player.
I would agree with the exception of the Jokic brothers. They can do whatever they want since they make the Joker clearly look like a little brother.

I'm a Bucks fan, so its been interesting watching Hali from an opposing fan's perspective at times. Would have been awesome having him at ISU longer because he would have driven opposing fans nuts.

The best **** talking happens when you walk away smiling and laughing. Tyrese is good at it and you can tell it drives some of those dudes crazy, especially the fans.

This series felt like a vintage early 90's series. Shoot, there are a few matchups right now that give me that feeling. Excellent matchups so far in the first round, even with blowouts. Ant Edwards eating up Lebron the other night and then getting in his face about it was chef's kiss perfection.

It was a great choice for your fans to chant “overrated” 657 times, every time he touched the ball.

That one worked out great.

Tyrese has more sportsmanship in his pinky finger than Portis and Porter combined. Porter basically was trying to start Malice in the Palace and only Indy being so nice stopped it. Porter is such a lunatic if I was GM I’d be on the phone shopping him today,

I generally like Giannis but he was roaming around like a maniac picking fights with everyone after the loss. You’re lucky Tyrese’s dad is a lightning rod after the game because I’ve rarely seen a team lose less graciously or act like such punks over the course of two seasons.

Say what you want, but I love all of it. Make the sport exciting again. Fights in hockey are lauded, but a verbal skirmish in basketball is in bad taste? Make it make sense. Bring back the 90s, bring back exciting basketball.

You can tell a lot of ISU fans didn’t watch the two games in Milwaukee and didn’t see Bucks roaming around like thugs after they got knocked out. Milwaukee’s fans and players have it coming like few others. The overrated chants were over the top and all game long every time Ty touched the ball, then the guy has the biggest clutch performance of the year to bounce them.

Pacers are 9-0 in playoffs at home since they traded for Haliburton. With him in the game they have the highest scoring offense and when he is out they are last.

Between players on the court, yeah. Fans heckling from the stands without crossing the line? For sure. Just not fans on the court or players in the stands.

I'll add, as bad of a move as it was for Haliburton's dad to initiate that, they both have handled it really well after the fact. Probably a few in the NBA who could take notes on how to handle making mistakes in mature fashion (looking at you Tee and Ja Morant)

CC talks all kinds of s**t…. and whines and cries, and flops…. and she’s revered…. and worshiped by Hawk fans.

But I’m sure that’s “different” somehow, right??

Btw.. what Tyrese’s Dad did was wrong, and he apologized. I’m just speaking to those who criticize Tyrese for talking smack.

If I had to watch thousands of Milwaukee fans chant overrated every time my son touched the ball, I'd have a hard time staying composed after my son single handedly ended the Bucks season. That said, you can't do what John Haliburton did after the game.

Trash talking is fine. About everyone does it.
I just remember when he was like that at ISU it was just kind 'you sure about that?' for me.

Gianni has also had a few moments that are a bad look imo.
