I could be wrong, but doesn't he have a shot at the freshman steals record as well? He's the best defensive point guard at ISU that I can remember.
Tinsley was pretty good too. Sometimes it looked like he let his guy by him on purpose just so he could block his shot from behind.

His ceiling because of the athleticism is as high as any of the great point guards we have had. Shooting, ball control, and finishing consistently at rim are the areas to improve but holy cow am I excited to watch it because the guy is a flat out competitor.

We have asked him to do a lot this year as a true freshman and he just keeps answering the call and bringing it.

He’s going to be a great one, and if he figures the shooting out he’s going to be in the all-time greats convo.

Once he becomes a reliable jump shooter, he has a chance to be a Big 12 POY type of player. His defense is already great.

The staff should do everything possible to keep him happy this off-season, if he sticks around he will be a first team B12 player in a couple years

Sure. But he is never going to be Monte' Morris and that's okay. He has other gifts.
I don't think anyone is asking him to be Monte. They're clearly different players. Hunter has the potential to make as big of an impact, just in a different way. He's a stud, and if he can keep developing, he can lead us to a conference championship before he's done.

Pretty incredible considering the offensive limitations he's working around.
Has to be pretty frustrating to throw a prefect pass to a guy in the post that misses the layup or that kick out for a an open 3 that ends in an air ball. Guy is really good, no doubt about that part.
