If I had to choose one type of weather it would be mid-80s with low humidity and a few clouds to occasionally take the edge off of the sun.
Somewhat related note: I bought one of my winter coats in San Francisco on July 28th.
I remember a 30+ degree temperature change once when I left work early in the city and went to a friend's house in Walnut Creek. We lived up in San Pablo, so it wasn't quite as drastic a change between work & home.In San Francisco, it's very easy to play "spot the tourist." They're the ones in shorts and t-shirts freezing their butts off while the locals are dressed for the climate (or micro-climates, since there are so many in the Bay Area). "Sunny California" doesn't necessarily apply to San Francisco. But drive an hour to Napa and it can be pushing 100.
A nice stretch of like 3 weeks of 85-95 and sunny with air so thick you can drink it. Real summer.
Favorite weather is when I can walk outside in a sweatshirt or jacket and jeans and be comfortable
I’m ok with anything in the 55-80 range as long as it’s not windy. I have an irrational hatred for wind.
