I was at the Metrodome last Sunday. Thought I'd give Grain Belt another try. Remembered why I hated it. Bleh.

I'm addicted to Sam Adams winter lager right now. It's the reason I keep mugs in my freezer.

Enjoying an Iowa Pale Ale from Millstream tonight. Not a lot of options outside of the normals and the pretend micros up in this part of the country.

For those who like Iowa Craft Beer and can't get to downtown Des Moines, Exile Brewing Co. is putting bottles out in March. Their owner Tursi has a crap load of connections I guess and they will be in Hy-vee's, Casey's, and I believe Wal-Marts.

 ewww. I've tried mead a few times before, thinking "maybe this time I will enjoy it" and nope. I tried some last summer in Germany, and it was even worse than the first few times I tried it.

homebrew it and let it sit at least 6 months.

It's smooth.

I finished off my last two Hopslams during the KU game. I'm trying to get into IPA, but that was a bit too bitter for me. I do like the Samuel Adams Rebel IPA I picked up a 6 pack at Hy Vee for $7.99.

No offense to Exile, but there are MANY other Iowa breweries whose product I would choose first over their's.

Magic Hat #9 and Community Pale Ale (local Dallas beer) tonight.

If anyone is around the area, I highly recommend Community. Great beer.

Exile pumps out some solid German Style beer. Any other Iowa brewery that pumps out as good as German Style than Exile? Exile is much better than what Backpocket puts out in German Style brews.
