So what's the situation with the QB room. Who's likely to be the heir to Rocco?
Rocco has two seasons left. So the competition will likely be two years from…now.

I’d guess it’ll be a fairly even competition between Connor, Alex and Jett—plus maybe a ‘27 early enrollee?

Jeezus. 6 of their top 10. No wonder he’s pissed

But he didn't offer them, how can he be pissed? I think we are missing the fact that all our Nebby commits were not offered by NU. I don't care, I trust CMC and staff's evaluations. Don't care about Ruhle and his approach to recruiting. If he's all f--ked up, good for us!

Thank you. It means everything coming from the delusional part of the fan base who doesn't see reality. Like I said it's a nice commit according to the "expert rankings". Otherwise I'll be excited about him when he is a starter.
Ooh, an insult coming from the toxic nitwit part of the fanbase. However will I survive?!!

The odds of a current high school junior playing meaningful snaps for Iowa State has to be worse than 50/50... Right??

I don't say that as a slight to our new 4* QB, it's just the era we live in.. Rhule also has the resources to be in the running for almost all transfers. If you had the resources, wouldn't you rather build a team in free agency versus the draft (no salary cap restrictions)

By the gods, I wish we all could get past the point where we consider a contrary point of view as evil spawned by the Devil.

I don't agree with you, so what? You don't agree with me, what does it matter? By the gods. . . . .

An example: One person's proclaimed reality is not fact, nor is the counter opinion from the other a fact.

It is opinion. Which means it is subjective. In this case, the contentions cannot be proved without time.

Jesus, Mother and Joseph, the personal attacks here - I don't think you people understand this - undermine your arguments. Logic, rationaltity applied to argument over a contention is worthwhile. Personal invective as a means of counterattack is worthless.

But, what do I know. Nothing. Nevermind.

I don’t get your point. Honestly. I seriously don’t understand what you ‘re trying to say.

He’ll be a HS senior this fall, so the odds are zero.

As for your second point? Unlimited money means zip for assuring you get a good QB. They don’t all turn out like Cam Ward. Iirc, the FSU and UCF QB’s are just a couple examples of that.

Meanwhile, at ISU QB’s have a chance to develop in a set system, with players they know and trust.

It wasn’t coincidence that Higgins and Noel flourished in their second year with Rocco.

(Which bodes extremely well for ‘26)

I 'Disliked' your post because, we are a developmental program. That's old news, of course. We don't have Nebraska's money (or name your big money program), but what we offer is opportunity. Community. A landing place for those players with developing skills and a character-driven attitude. This is our niche.

The Blue Bloods and former Blue Bloods who dream the dream will do their thing. Let Nebraska do their thing. We will travel the highway that demonstrates the Iowa State thing is a powerful thing. To hell with the others.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to feel better. This isn't a knock on ISU, Campbell, or anything else. It's just the reality of college sports in 2025. Its probably 50/50 at best he's going to be at ISU in 2 years. Because of Rocco and Purdy? God forbid they have some competition. How the **** does anyone get excited about commits anymore? Especially at skill positions

I'm sorry, but this might be the dumbest post I've read today.

Unless you've got a few million dollars laying around to go buy a great QB who's already established, the only way you can end up with a great QB is to recruit great high school QBs and have them compete against each other. Matt Campbell has excelled at this.

Obviously, only one QB can be the starter, and no big time QB recruit is going to be satisfied watching their eligibility burn up while they ride the bench. So it's a given they will transfer to somewhere where they can be the main man.

So go ahead and downplay this big time recruit if you want, but the rest of us will be excited for good reason.

I get what you’re saying but I also don’t think he’s trying to downplay the recruit. This is a huge get for us, no doubt. But it’s 2025 - the school that a kid commits to as a junior isn’t always the place where they end up as a starter
