Good pickup I guess. I find it hard to get excited about ANY high school commit this day and age. Have any of them stayed for more than a year or 2 besides Purdy and Rocco? J.J. Kohl was so awesome he's now at App St.

I assume you mean quarterbacks because obviously in football we've had a ton of guys stay for 4 years---Noel, Verdon, Purchase, Kolar, Allen, etc, etc. It seems VERY silly to complain about that in regards to our football program.

Second, the reason the QBs haven't stayed longer than 2 years is BECAUSE of Purdy and Rocco being successful. Not a ton of programs have 4 year starters at QB. It seems pretty obvious that is a good thing and not a problem like you insinuate. If Purdy and Rocco had been misses then you'd be complaining about that.

Exactly this. You can never have too many quality QB's on your roster. Some NFL scouts even suggest taking a flyer on a QB each year in the late rounds in the NFL draft. You never know when you may land your future star QB

And it is not a problem if they leave when you have someone that is a multi-year starter. It would be one thing if you were constantly going through QBs (kind of like Rhoads did) and you couldn't find a consistent starter. But to complain that we've only kept 2 quarterbacks? So ******* weird.

LOL. The ignorant bugeaters are going to eat him alive if they struggle.

Someone as old as me help me remember when Danny Mac pulled some highly rated kid out of Nebraska and they freaked. Was he a TE that ended up on the OL?

Now we take what we want. I am sure a lot of that is due to the arrogance of Rhule.

I wish the hawkeye staff was as arrogant as nebraskas. Unfortunately they don’t think that they are too good for in-state players. We still hold our own, but it would be much easier if iowa thought that they recruited nationally.

Obviously these young men from Nebraska would have no awareness of the horrible, indecent thing Rhule did to Iowa State as the Baylor coach. That wasn't just cruel, it was an unforgivable safety issue. But for ISU fans, this next recruiting class just feels like karma finally coming around.

Rhule is a tad on the odd stage, from my observation when interviewed, he comes across as a nervous paranoid insecure individual. Perfect fit for the Big Red fanbase with the same tendencies. I can’t help but think these highly rated recruits detected the smell of a dead program. Maybe I’m too harsh. Great job by the ISU staff.
