I love how Bias was constantly criticizing his as we were pulling away

He was right but it sounded like sour grapes.

Also it was so great to see Watson get his chance and come in and just be a DOG, great minutes by him.

There has been no details on what exactly is wrong with him, at least not that I've seen. Some Drake fans said it's an ongoing shoulder issue that was bothering him at Drake too. Given the timing of it (they shut him down after eight games, which is usually the max you can play on a normal schedule and still be eligible for a medical redshirt), I'd be surprised if we see him on Saturday.
Rumor is out here that they are shutting him down for a medical red shirt. I doubt he plays the rest of the year.

Attended first MBB game in since '81. What impressed me most was the dribble skills of Lipsey and Gilbert. You see their crossovers on TV but to see them in person was incredible.

Fun to see crowd lavish Watson each time he went out.

Jones? What can you say? Not sure I've seen a better half.

So much more, but as a lifelong fan, still living in disbelief over how good this team is.

He's always been a wealth of knowledge imo. Now that everyone can pay players I care a lot less about before. His post game was awesome and even his last statement 'I guess that means I'm done' got a nice laugh. He's a sage and I can't help but feel that it's a little of the changing of the guard as TJ keeps beating him of late.
Yeah, I like listening to him after games, he just understands the game and appreciates all the aspects of it. He likes playing these tough road games too. Just a basketball guy.

Ya, he doesn't need to go into the super detailed things. He's really good at breaking it down to it's essence much like his comments on one guy looked happy to be starting and another looked mad he wasn't.

The crowd was great. Hilton has shifted a bit and has become a bit more reactive to big plays. But last night there were a lot of times KU would go on a mini-run and the crowd recognized it and brought it. Cyclone Jim Carrey was doing his part.

Our crowd appreciates great effort. Thus BRE and Watson being guys that are appreciated even if they don’t stuff the stat sheet.

Contrast Self or Coach K after a loss vs a tool like Izzo. Izzo everything is his players sucked and nothing but backhanded compliments at best.

Coach K always annoyed me during games but postgame he was always giving all the credit to the opponent. Self can be a little critical of his guys but he’s largely very appreciative of opponents, certainly ISU. At some point I think some of these coaches can start enjoying these great games and atmospheres in the moment.

What do you expect from a Spartan? Friendliness? ;)

He's like one of the old school Big 8 coaches who everyone loved to hate and loved to be hated by fan bases. I can respect that. There isn't much of that any more.

Not sure if this might could be the worm turning.

Used to be we could pull out a win by a couple points in Hilton then go to Lawrence and lose by 10 or more.

It seems like if KU pulls off the win in Lawrence this year it'll be a close one.

Iowa State just beat Kansas for fun basically playing their B game if even that, is this real life?
I know our team is great but they just whooped those boys, a top 10 team and blue blood program that was #1 coming into the season with all sorts of experience coming back, and there's still plenty of room for improvement so it's pretty surreal. This is fun guys, really fun.

Something that has surprised me about KU - how have they not recruited over Dejaun Harris? Guy is scared to shoot all he does is dribble. It just blows my mind he has been there for so long and not been recruited over.

KU recruiting is definitely off. With NIL and such, I wonder if it's partially a case of too many chefs. We know previously Adidas was paying the bills, but Self was able to use that and get the players he wanted. Now everyone is throwing money at them and likely their two cents on players it should be spent on. He isn't alone, but I wonder how many of these guys are shopping recruiting rankings rather than fit.
