He was known as THE KEY recruiter for BU. All the top50-100 BBall recruits with a Christian faith would readily consider Baylor. Drew's success & Tang's vocal faith were a match made in heaven (pun intended) which led to BU's success in getting tons of top recruits & making a run to the 'Ship. Since Tang left, BU is still very good but they've dropped just a bit & KSU is reaping the effects of getting a great recruiter but unproven HC.I wonder why he was an assistant at Baylor for so long (2003-2022) despite evidently wanting to be a head coach. Was he getting interviews and not getting the offer, or was someone saying to teams who were thinking about interviewing him "Hey yeah, about that guy..."? Or Option C?
