The one thing I missed was.Maybe it was in the third quarter, when rocco ran the ball in for a touchdown. I jumped up celebrated and then quickly ran in the other room to put some wood in the stove. And when I came back they were putting the ball into 1 yd line. Did they say he was down or did Miami call a timeout right before the play?

They said he was down at the one.

Yea. His calf was probably down based on the replay but I have absolutely no idea how they determined he was short of the goal line when it happened. Had they called him short on the field I would agree it should be upheld. But don’t understand how they saw enough to overturn there. Was afraid we were going to get screwed at that point. Thankfully we scored anyway although it was too close for comfort.

I know it’s loser talk but the “indisputable” part never seems to apply w ISU reviews.

One thing I don't think anybody has mentioned (and if they did, it should be mentioned again) is that this game was a vast improvement in the number of penalties ISU committed that influenced our game plan. I don't recall any procedure penalties and can't recall if we ever jumped offsides where it changed things up.
Winning in the margins.

I thought, if they were going to call him short, it should have been at the one foot line. But like you there was not enough to overturn the touchdown called.

Barrie is so punchable. Have disliked him since his called our game againstUT in 2020. He **** rode them the whole time.
I can't stand his Good Morning America style of broadcasting. That 2020 game was broadcast like it was a spring game. Him and Hassel couldn't look like bigger tools on their bro vacays.

Intersting footnote. I just started watching the game re-run. Guess who was in on the first play of the game? The high snap fumble by Cam Ward? Will MacLaughlin and Cale Brezina. Both were right in the backfield and Brezina got the recovery!

Those are two big guys we got back! MacLaughlin the past couple of games, and Brezina just this game.
