I think it was the correct call and judging Freyler’s reaction, he expected it and did it stop a touchdown. IMHO.

It's artificial. The aspect college football is ******. Used to love it over the NFL. It's gone. We beat the hurricanes yaa! Did they want to play like it meant something? No. Also we couldn't win a watered down b12. Goes back again and again to 21 season. Had the studs on offense, really good defense. O line sub par, coaching, suspect at best. Glad Campbell got his ten win season. Congrats

I think it’s seeing the very last contact which was a push off by the WR. But the early contact was Freyler grabbing and holding the WRs arm.
Watching live I thought it was the wrong call but one replay showed the grab and hold by Freyler initially and seemed like the correct call.
I'm a little tired of the cal Ward didn't play thing. We had two NFL guys in our secondary not out there. Does anyone think for one minute Porter and verdon not being out there made a big difference? Then we lose Beau as well.

WR was basically giving a stiff arm while the ball was in the air, giving Freyler no chance to make a play on the ball. Freyler made contact with the arm the WR was using to hold him off, and Freyler didn't turn his head, so it probably could have gone either way, but to me it was offensive PI.

I heard zero mention of Porter or Verdon by the announcers. Not surprised though, they were clearly rooting for Miami.
Be interested in the ratings of this game and the BYU - Colorado game. It would be cool if those two games topped the Clemson- Texas playoff game.
Miami is the big name team. Little ole Iowa State will be an afterthought in these games with the media
I didn’t think the calling Beau was a bad one. I thought worst one was no call when Alston got mugged in the end zone on last drive. Thankfully got holding the next play so didn’t really matter in the end.

I get it. He was a Heisman finalist and projected top 10 pick in the draft. So it’s going to get more attention than our guys.
That said, I think one of the least talked about things in all of our games (not just tonight) is how banged up our defense was. It should have been talked about more.
Injuries are not discussed in the media because Campbell and the coaches do not whine about them and use them as an excuse for not playing well or losing.
The team has the attitude of next man in and I appreciate that.
I think it’s usually more that despite being these dorks’ job, outside of a handful, most of them don’t do any research. Today was like 50% Cam Ward talk, 40% pop tart talk, 5% Travis Hunter and Shadeur Sanders talk, 3% cat guy talk, and 2% everything else.
