I don't think you can say that.

We held basically even with Ward in in the first half. Our defense has a tendency to tighten up in second halves, and we saw that (to a degree), and likely would have still seen it with Ward.

Not having Higgins was a bigger loss than their top receiver. After him it was very even distribution.

But god damn, beating Miami was fun

It was fun. And the folks who put on the Pop Tarts Bowl do an awesome job.

Going to bowl games should be fun and memorable for fans and players win or lose. And what's more fun than having the winning team rewarded by digging into a giant Pop Tart in celebration?
