I mean, our away record in boulder has been downright awful

So given that I certainly can see why some would have flashbacks to some awful games.
We have a team that can win there, but no conference road game is easy.
Still don't get why our bench is not getting any playing time. We are going to need them in Big 12 play, or our guys will run out of gas by March, like Kansas last year.
I was at the game and it was puzzling that we didn't see deeper rotation into the bench. Could be the coaches were looking for certain things and game fitness that can't be replicated otherwise.
Nobody is playing more than 30 minutes a game. The bench is getting plenty of minutes. We are basically playing a starting 8.
Yep. Lost 13 of last 15 there. 9 of last 10. Not an easy place to win.

The best players will be needed in important moments and need to in condition for it.
Not to mention is only a 16-20 point game most of the 2nd half and the way MSU was scoring I'm not sure what a bench player will do.
Until the metrics stop rewarding running it up, its not going to happen...
These kids were in 3rd grade and younger the last time Iowa State played in Boulder.
The Cyclone situation is much different than KU last year. KU didn't have anybody off the bench and then injuries affected them.
That said, I was a little surprised TJ didn't clear the bench with 2 minutes left. Might not be many more opportunities to reward those guys.
Curious how that record in Boulder would look if Hoiberg/first half Prohm/Otz had played there more.

UNI went out and beat them there in '19. KG was still on staff. He'll get it done.
This. ISU had a serious road win problem in general for most of those decades.
As great as Johnny Orr was for ISU basketball, his teams did pretty horrible on the road.
Most years, his teams could beat anybody in Hilton and lose to almost anybody on the road.
