I’ll be driving back to Iowa, 18 hours through the night to NE Iowa. Grabbing my overalls and winter gear and busting it back across the state to Ames with little JM. I asked him from where we’re at if he still wanted to make it back for the game last night after we won. “Dad, yes. They need us.” Damn right, son. Let’s go win this freaking thing.

We will be back in Iowa for Thanksgiving with the family, so I’ve already planted the idea in my wife’s head… cold weather, night game, 2h drive each way, and her being pregnant may play against my chances.

Only game I was able to make it to this year was the Tech game, so I also have that mental struggle going on at the moment.

I dunno. Getting together with family you may not even like to see even once a year for a Thanksgiving and listening to arguing around the table about the current state of things?

I think I'd take single digits at JTS playing for a Big XII Championship and playoff spot over that any day of the week. But of course YMMV.
