Since this qualifies as one of the all time fake ID seasons, can we claim to have gone undefeated?

Which is a large part of why you can't really compare to prior eras.

In many ways campbell's era has been probably the era with the most opportunity for someone to succeed. Between teams leaving the conference or teams that used to be much more daunting falling back down to more beatable levels, and Campbell arriving right as we finally had major facilities upgrades that gave us a proper power conference home environment that we hadn't really had.
I see where you’re going, but then Nebraska should also still be amazing. OK State and Utah should also probably be best in the conference this year. I still think Campbell deserves credit for a job well done overall. Not saying someone else couldn’t have done better…but he’s pretty good.

Did we change one thing from last week’s game plan to tonight’s?? We did run one singular screen pass that worked and then never did it again, so maybe that was the extend of our adjustments.

Depending on the sources I can find, our AD budget is in the top half of the conference, and CMC salary is right in the middle of the pack.

In the new B12, we are no longer a distant also ran. We are very much in the same weight class as any other school in this league. The ceiling is higher now than it has been at any point in our history.
Yes, I think you’re accidentally proving my point though. You’ve pointed out that we are essentially budgeting to be mediocre, but are we then also going to expect to be at the top of the league record-wise? Not saying we can’t be, but we shouldn’t point to our budget and say that should be the outcome.

The OC started his coaching career as a grad assistant at ISU a few years ago. Probably have to temper your expectations...

True. But there are other coaches who can tell him to keep feeding Hansen.

Our substitution patterns are quite frankly stupid.

KU had Neal in at RB 75% of the time. There's no need to sub offensive players as much as we do.

I agree, but nobody seems willing to do that, including the HC. I guess they'd rather just have him figure all this stuff out for himself over the next few years.

That isn't at all what I am saying. The revenue curve in this new league is very flat. We are in the top half, and the gap between us and the very top is small enough now that it isn't significant. Hell, KSU is a couple spots behind us, and it isn’t hurting there football program. The money gap issue we used to have is gone. It is no longer a valid excuse.

When we had Breece he was in about that percentage as well so this coaching staff is not opposed to that. I’d venture to guess, and I’m sure as a former player you know, Hanson being injured doesn’t allow him to stay in and be effective at even close to that clip.
