Thank God we have Jon Heacock in that halftime locker room. This is when he’s at his best.
No he made the right call to throw it away BUT you have to be sure you can throw it away. It happens and he misjudged the distance or his own arm strength from that angle. But that’s why coaches tell you to throw it away only if you know damn well you are going to get it clearly out of bounds. Oh well.I actually think it was a smart move. He just didn’t have the strength for whatever reason to get it out of bounds. Yes, hindsight, take the sack. But than you would have posted that he should have thrown it away. JFC, I hate most of you
Gotta either run it...or target our strength at TE in those situations...
I thought Baylor was going to come to play today. Then, things can happen, and before you know the other guys get on a roll.True...it does happen...but that one could be a play that we look at that comes at the cost of a loss. Still a half of the game to play but that was a terrible decision! Worse than the missed XP which is incredibly frustrating as well!
It’s been 9 years, but Campbell still thinks we can stack everyone inside and power the ball up the middle. That wing t was so obvious. He’s stubborn for sure sometimes
Nope... but did cost the team 14 pts minimum with stupid play calls that gave the guys no chance.Yeah the coaches should have stopped all the injuries.
You should be a coach!Nope... but did cost the team 14 pts minimum with stupid play calls that gave the guys no chance.
Porter not playing tonight. Not sure why. Orange out for remainder of game. Singleton has been back in at times. Not sure about Brezina.SIAP- has there been word on Orange? Or Brezina?
Also is Porter hurt?
When BU gets the kickoff to start the half, Cyclone D needs to come out and make a statement w/a quick 3 & out.Bummer end to the half, but considering where things stood early in the 2Q, I feel optimistic. BU hasn't looked as good on offense, and ISU O seems a little more in flow.
And we're leading!
Yeah, we know.I fear the worst
That play call was fine. The wing T before that was certainly an interesting decision though. He was getting pass rushed and tried to throw it away and didn't get enough under it.
#6 Mendeszoon blocked the punt. He’s been back in. He blocked the punt
But, he made the right decision. That’s what matters. Didn’t turn out but I’m actually happy to see he tried to get rid of it rather than take the sack or force a throw. I’m sure the coaching staff will use this as a learning experience for this young man.No he made the right call to throw it away BUT you have to be sure you can throw it away. Agreed. The two FB one RB I formations have been solid this year. That play call was fine. The wing T before that was certainly an interesting decision though.
Brezina went out on same play as Orange#6 Mendeszoon blocked the punt.
Is Brezina hurt?
