How much run did Jalen Travis and Deylin Hasert get? I saw them listed on the participation report
They played a few drives. A LOT of o-linemen saw action today, including a couple of walk-ons getting in there on the last drive or two. Trevor Buhr was in during the 1st half for a bit.

The participation chart for today's game was crazy. Quite a few walk-ons played in the 4th quarter. Good thing is that we just came off of a bye and all the starters got pulled early today, so the team will be fresh next Saturday. I was impressed with Aiden Flora. He looks legit and I hope we blowout a couple more teams so we can see more of him.

Am I reading into this too much or has JJ not played due to a lack of effort at practice?
Well, either that or he’s dinged up, and CMC’s not saying.

Because if he were simply #3 on the depth chart, he would have at least gotten a series at the end—like just about everyone else.

(I have a hard time believing JJ isn’t giving effort)

Yep, I saw Hasert, Buhr, Bonifis, Gabe Greenlee, Maro, and more out there. Mostly looked good too.

I'm on the Aiden Flora bandwagon. Impressive that we have 5 RBs that can contribute.

Aiden was the QB of the ADM tigers last year that lost to eventual 4A champs Lewis Central.

Aiden had crazy stats that season. Over 1000yds passing and 13TDs with nearly 2000yds rushing and 27 TDs.

You’re reading way too much into it. If Kohl isn’t doing what the coaches want from him in practice, Campbell isn’t going to say they’re fortunate to have him. All he he’s saying is the depth and competition raise the consistent level of intensity in practice.

Moberly looks damn good. But you never know how things will shake out down the road.

Totally disagree. You're saying it's either A) He's dinged up.... or B) He's not giving effort in practice??? Why??

How about... he's not dinged up... he's giving great effort in practice... he just flat out got beat out by someone better? That's what I think has happened. Moberly is just that good IMO. I know this will rub a bunch of people the wrong way, but IMO if Rocco and Moberly were both true freshman right now fighting for the job... Moberly would win it. Rocco deserves the #1 spot for sure, no doubt, but IMO it's only because of his experience and leadership.

Way too many people put WAY too much emphasis on a kid's recruiting rankings. Kohl never should have been a 4 star kid, but he was based mostly on his size IMO. But people think too much like.... "Moberly was just a 3 star... how can he possibly be ahead of a 4 star in the depth chart?". That's not how it works folks.

I think we have to see more out of Moberly before we start putting him ahead of Becht at this point in their careers. The kid looked very good yesterday, but when he entered the game Ar. St. was a beat down team and looking to get the game over with.
Becht is the starters and should be baring injury the rest of the year, next year is when it could get interesting if Moberly is pushing him for playing time. Lets enjoy the season we have before we worry about down the road. I do agree with you if Moberly is doing better than JJ, that is on JJ and no one else, either improve or leave, happens all the time in college sports.

I think QB is different than the other positions, especially WR, RB and TE.
Moberly is currently the #2. They want to get him as many reps as possible to be ready if needed.

Rocco struggles for a quarter and people start calling for Moberly. Coming soon to a gameday thread near you!
I don't think anyone is pushing for that... or even bringing it up for debate at all.

I think the discussion is about who should be #2, and it rightly surprised people to see that it's Moberly right now. I'm of the opinion... trust the coaches. They are the ONLY ones who have watched Moberly and Kohl throughout numerous and numerous practices... and they feel right now Moberly is the best choice for #2.

Nobody is saying Moberly should be #1. Rocco has earned that spot.

I wouldn't mind seeing Moberly get in on a few short yardage situations or put in a Wildcat formation for him. Not happening, but I wouldn't have a problem with it. Eliminate a few hits on Rocco also

Rocco is #1. It appears Moberly is #2. IMO it is well deserved after watching him play yesterday. Wow. True freshman. And he had speed and a strong arm with accuracy. Interception was a tipped ball. And it didn’t rattle him. Made good decisions. Confidant.

AND... the INT didn't scare the coaches either... kept calling passing plays right after it. The pass was on target... he'll learn to take a little off those short throws though.
