I think you meant that they don't shoot many 2-pts - but shoot a very high percentage on them. Less than 45% of their points come from 2-pters. They are one of the highest 3-pt scoring teams at 41% of their points. 50.4% of their FG attempts are 3s, and we give up 45.4% of FG attempts as 3s to opponents (NCAA average is 37.3%)

They don't take many free throws and the 20 they made against us is the second highest in conference play (other than a bonkers 40-46 in their 90-88 win against UCF). Keeping them off the line is huge.
were so good at forcing teams out of the paint, id almost allow them to get there and focus solely on taking away the three.

its a win/win tbh

for me it comes down to "how much is this game worth for iowa state to win"

am i willing to lose $20? $40? $50? for an iowa state W
So the way I do these, because I live out of state and can never get back for a game, is I pick out the big games too and bet on the opposition ML every time the amount I would pay if I was going to attend the game. That way, it was like I just paid for my ticket, gas, food, etc. to "see" the game. BUT if we lose, I actually made some coin.

I'm guessing we don't trap this time around. They killed us with their passing and this team shoots better than most when wide open. We have the ability to defend individually against them I think, so I think that's the key. But they don't turnover the ball that much, 10.5/game. So our offensive efficiency has to be up to the task, but they are no slouch on D. KenPom AdjD is 53 I think.

Senior night is a nervous night for many. Hoiberg lost on senior night for crying out loud. I hate that it's a Wednesday night game, and the students have struggled to show for games that aren't the marquis rivals. Hopefully they understand this is a HUGE game. Their team can be only the 5th to go undefeated in Hilton. Take pride and show up!

I feel like we are due for a good game and their proud defense was dismantled in Provo. I believe they come out and play their best game on D and we win while hitting the under. O/U is 145 on DK, the teams avg 82.7 and 76.6, 159.3 total, the #1 and #5 teams in the Big XII. (Defenses #9 and #2 in the Big XII, 69.4 to 61.2 points given up for 130.6 total.) The Over seems like the safe bet, but I'm going against that. (Could be the worst take ever...) Interesting, if you take the offensive total and add the defensive total and divide by 2 you get 144.95. Is that how the line is set?

And whatever you win goes to We Will? ;)

A couple of notes about BYU personnel:

Both Trevor Knell and Foussenyi Traore, BYU's second and third leading scorers in BigXII games, didn't play in Provo.

Traore is a big bodied 6'6" PF that doesn't shoot the three (0 attempts in conf play) - a very un-BYU player. He's scoring almost 14 ppg over his last 10, with several 20+ games, and leading them in rebounding

Knell is a 6'5" shooter, maybe their best pure shooter, but he has been a big cold recently - going 10-31 from deep in their last 5 games. He did score 20 in their last game against TCU

Everyone who watched the game in Provo will remember Aly Khalifa, the big guy that tore us apart at the top of the key. He's just an absolutely unique player who has been on a crazy streak. He's not been shooting well (1-9 from 3) but in their last 4 games he has 18 assists and ZERO turnovers!!!

How we defend that high post action when Khalifa is in the game will be huge - we need to turn them over. I wonder if we won't 1) try to deny him the ball in the high post and 2) run a hard double at him. That could certainly give up some open 3s, but we need to keep him from orchestrating in that area without pressure.
