Wait, so we believe what he said as fact? Again, I believe him 100%, but is there proof?
I mean, I think Chris is reputable enough to not make **** like that up.
Wait, so we believe what he said as fact? Again, I believe him 100%, but is there proof?
He mentioned on the Wednesday pod that several others nearby heard it. No formal proof like a video or audio, but witnessesWait, so we believe what he said as fact? Again, I believe him 100%, but is there proof?
Well, CW posted about it in real time, TJ said it happened, and there are even posters on K-States 247 site that say it happened. What more do you want? That is nothing like what K-State is doing. We all want to hear exactly who saw what with K-State and their coaching staff. Instead they refuse to address anything publicly and make vague accusations to their local media that gets picked up nationally. I don't think the two programs could be handling this situation any more differently. In short, you are very wrong.Wait, so we believe what he said as fact? Again, I believe him 100%, but is there proof?
Which of those people publicly stated “I saw Iowa State staff recording KSUs huddle”. Chris said he heard a KSU staffer yell at a manager. KSU “media” are reporting off 3rd hand accounts. You are no different from the KSU fans believing Kurtz, Fitzgerald, or Tang.
Here is the tweet reporting it in real time. It isn’t heresay unlike Tang’s claims. You realize we are doing the same thing KSU fans are doing right? We believe everything our coach says at his word without any proof. There is no way to prove that we weren't doing anything wrong. Surely someone caught the coach calling our student managers cheating mother ******* right?
I hate that fanbase and school more than Iowa's, but this whole thing is he said, she said.
Do I believe Tang is nuttier than squirrel poop? Yup. Would I trust TJ with my wife? Yup. Nobody but KSU believes Tang. We need to move on.
Sure. I guess I overstated that. But still think JP should make them sweat it a bit. With the presses legal team? No. The press does not have to reveal any of their sources
There’s a difference, ISUs accusations can be confirmed by corroborating eye witness testimony. Yes, I saw x say _____. I too saw x say _____.You realize we are doing the same thing KSU fans are doing right? We believe everything our coach says at his word without any proof. Um, not sure. Although my feelings about all three of these are similar, I don’t have to constantly listen to wildcat & bear fans walk up to me while I’m wearing my Cyclone gear and spout off to my face, “hey, how ‘bout them Hawkeyes”, or “go hawks!”, with that stupid knuckle-dragging look on their face!My disdain for KState and Baylor supersedes my hate for Iowa.
This is pretty good! Jeff Goodman nails it. He says... every team knows what the other team runs. It's not a secret. This whole thing is ludicrous.
You use the conference, not your lawyers vs their lawyers.Sure. I guess I overstated that. But still think JP should make them sweat it a bit.
This. I’m in PR. You do not say those things without 100% verification. And the isu sports info office is top tier.It wouldn’t have been in the pre-approved statement that he read if there wasn’t at least a couple witnesses.
That was awesome . Great job students!!

There is a reason they took a few days to respond. Plus waiting until after the Kansas game gives this plenty of time to blow over and not be a distraction for us since our next game isn't until next Saturday.I'm assuming, behind the scenes, ISU watched video footage, got witiness statements, and maybe had coaches turn in phones or other electronic media. I'm also sure they talked to the student managers in question.
Arming yourself with evidence/truth, THEN coming with forceful rebuttals is always the way. From outside appearances Jamie/Otz/staff/players handled this very, very well.
So lets recap the week for them:I went and read some of the other message boards about Kansas states accusations. All other teams are on our side and think Kansas State is a joke. The only fans that think something happened were the k state fans. So they are looking pretty stupid.
Completely different scenario here. Chris reported on a specific instance, with detail, as it happened, before any of this blew up after the game. You are no different from the KSU fans believing Kurtz, Fitzgerald, or Tang.
