Yeah if this is really the #8 team in the country things are wide open this year.
North Carolina was #1 last November.

Post of the year candidate?Does Iowa recruit the same players reincarnated?

That Creighton team isn't nearly as good as last year's imoI was enthused when I heard ISU hung with them in the 'secret scrimmage' in October but the first half that I watched last night changed that quite a bit.
ISU will have a hard time beating Iowa.
Disagreeing only because of my enthusiasm for this yrs team, I didn't see the game last night.I was enthused when I heard ISU hung with them in the 'secret scrimmage' in October but the first half that I watched last night changed that quite a bit.

It's really hard to impossible to translate the kind of defense Creighton played to the kind of defense we play (or offense, for that matter). What we do know is that Iowa played well in a tough environment, and looks very skilled offensively, and pretty poor defensively.Disagreeing only because of my enthusiasm for this yrs team, I didn't see the game last night.

I think ISU could be pretty good. If they run into a buzzsaw, can they get out of it is my curiosity.
Last year if things went down hill ISU would look like they were playing with drunk goggles on.
Iowa is pretty streaky from the looks of it too. It's really hard to impossible to translate the kind of defense Creighton played to the kind of defense we play (or offense, for that matter). They definitely look more talented than expected. Fran has a way of stealing ho hum recruits from mid-majors that turn out to be high major material. I still think that limits the program's ceiling, but he does well with what he gets.Iowa is pretty streaky from the looks of it too.
If I was an Iowa fan, I'd be optimistic about the team if they can play better D, and maintain more consistency with rebounding.
