There is currently more offense in the Harvard vs Cornell swimming/diving meet than in the Iowa game. Boy these late kicks suck

Don't do that to yourself. Bowl eligibility is the goal now. CCG was always a long shot, and it died last week.
Ya because if fans talk about it it effects how the team plays lol. Everyone, it's ok to look ahead and play out scenarios, I promise it has no bearing if we win or lose tonight

Honestly to that end, I think tonight is a must win. I just don't like the physical matchup versus Texas or K-State, where we almost never play well.

And with the weirdness of altitude and the late start... it'll be interesting. Hopefully not that interesting but I can see it being interesting

and its not worth thinking about the CCG because while this time was and is a bowl team, IMO, we were never anywhere close to good enough to be a conference championship game team. Too young, too inconsistent and a few other things.

Get to a bowl. Build a foundation at 6-6 with extra practices for the youngsters and hopefully we can get there one day but this year, that was a delusion IMO more than reality. I allowed myself to think about it so I'm as guilty as anyone else but realistically, that was never a real dream.

Hopefully the guys are seeing what happened to OSU and KU and are staying frosty for this one. Can't afford a slow start like last week.

Wasn’t the first African-American college football player in the country a player on Nebraska’s football team? It was way before 1923.
Don't know, but A-A Duke Slater was a senior at eiu in the fall of 1922, I think. He played three years, iirc, beginning in fall 1920.

Hope they are come out very prepared and the coaches are playing to win instead of playing not to loose

That was my hope last week so not sure what to expect tonight.

I've come to the conclusion that I do not like 9:15pm kickoffs.

I really hope this will be worth the wait.
We will have what, 5 teams in the league next year in the Mountain time zone? Guessing we better get used to this happening a few times a year between football and hoops.

If this was a home game, tailgate lots would only have been open half an hour right now.
Actually all home game lots open at 10 am for any home game that starts at 4 or later.
