Some things never change, Cyclones give up a score and the momentum to end the half. Thank goodness that we make adjustments at half and keep fighting until the end.

Baylor didn't do crap offensively, even that last play. they had one pass followed up with a personal fould and ejection.

I am just ticked because this shouldn't even be a game right now.
let teams hang around and you end up getting beat. especially in waco as we all know

that's what they think should happen. but that's not how football is played. that pass exposes the receiver

He launched himself, lowered his shoulder, and only tried to lay the hit. That's sloppy ass football and after years of having targeting rules every player should know better. Zero reason to EVER lower your head and launch. Go in to make a ******* tackle, with your face mask up, and looking to wrap players up.

The let up comment was dum , like 90 percent of the words the announcers uttered, but that was a terrible play by Tampa.

That targeting call is textbook targeting and I’m totally ok with the 15 yard penalty. The automatic ejection is still one of the dumbest parts of the rule though. That was a bad hit, but wasn’t dirty. I really think they should take the basketball approach with flagrant 1 vs flagrant 2 type approach. Two targeting calls and regardless you are out but if it’s not a legitimate football play, you can still be ejected on 1st offense.

Nothing but it is targeting per the horrible stupid rule that only a moron that’s never played a down of football could think makes sense.

This rule is so ******* stupid.

And Becht needs to get it together. That missed TD to Higgins has to be made every single time by a Big 12 QB. I really like Rocco and I think he’s the guy. But at worst you underthrow that and you gain 30 yards.

Wish they handled it like the NFL. Call a personal foul, fine, but save the ejections for the malicious stuff

They’ve dominated all but 2 mins. Just come out and beat the crap out of them.
Game over if copper catches ball. Redon misses tackle. Probably should have ran clock out instead of letting freshman qb pass late

That's a bad call on the refs. Where is the intent to hit his head. He continues on his line into the player.

There is no intent for targeting. It is th defenders job to not hit the helmet. It’s not a fair rule, but it is the rule.

I get that it was targeting by the letter of the law, but what's a defender supposed to do there?

There needs to be a penalty for targeting, and then something like a flagrant targeting where the player gets ejected.
Yes, defender is sitting in a zone. Both going for the ball and WR low going into the defender.

Overall a solid first half. Plenty of mistakes on both sides. The rain is going to make things messy. Important to have a good drive to start the 2nd.

The end to that half gave me strong 2006 Iowa game vibes. Knew exactly what was going to happen when McCarney threw away the last drive of the first half. Not good.

There’s not much a guy can do many targeting calls except defy physics. It’s the dumbest rule in all of sports.
