Any chance the Iowa band stays away from Ames? We are probably due for months of revisiting the many capital offenses that occurred at JTS that somehow eluded all security cameras. But not much even reporting this poor man’s death.

I think the days of either band traveling to the other are done for awhile. ISU didn't send the band to Iowa City this year either iirc

You are correct. ISU band did not travel to IC last year. And don't get me started on the HMB exit back in 2019. The one thing I will say is the only reason a band places the sousaphones in the front ranks (and swinging the instruments) is if they wanted to force their way through a crowd. I don't blame the band members... I blame the HMB leadership for that terrible decision

I hope we can skip the UNI band too. I felt it was a bold move to go to an opponent’s stadium and play the FU song.

It's pretty well documented that the sousaphones section is ill tempered...

Minors brutally killed a teacher in Fairfield and their names were released....

And they were also released for this accident

If that happened in Ames, Birch and Randy would be all over it. Eickholt, Franisdaman, WHO-TV sports crew, Neck Beard, Iowa Loud, Dochterman, and that drunk Iowa lawyer on "Go Iowa Awesome" are quiet as a mouse on this, thus they lose their press creditials and will miss their chin slapping Iowa coaches ball sacks if they say anything.

Pretty much anywhere in the country other than Iowa and about Hawks. Not even sure SEC "press" and an SEC city's cop shop would be this quiet. If a Gopher or Viking coaches family were caught up in anything here it would be big news, not censored news. A celebrities kid here might get off, because privilege, but it would be talked about bigtime and argued about bigtime. There's no way the Mpls police could get away with running this sort of interference.

You have to look no further than Joe Senser's wife, Amy for an example quite similar to what you are saying here. She was all over the news for years including often the top story on the local evening news.
