He's returning to the same type of environment where he had all his previous issues. It looks to me like he plans to join his new team right away and play in the Fall.

That's a really quick turnaround from being a locker room cancer, picking fights, taking cheap-shots with opposing players, refs etc., getting T'd up in those situations which cost the team wins, and becoming hostile towards his coaches and teammates alike. All to the point where he was kicked off the team. All that's only what's public. And then he hinted that he was possibly suicidal. That's a lot of baggage to have sorted out in a few weeks.

But hey, good luck to him. I think the 3 guys we just got in the portal will all be better players and teammates when it's all said and done.
No one has said he got it sorted out.

This might not be very good for him, but if he wants to keep playing basketball, he can't afford to step away.

Also, there is a lot to life besides basketball. A "new environment" might not be about the game at all, but getting away from friends, a partner, a living situation, academic stresses, or any number of things that were making life difficult for him in Ames.

So is it down to WVU or Mizzou at this point? Are there any other schools that have even been mentioned yet?

Good -- I hope he does well in the SEC and we don't coincidentally run into the Tigers.

The last thing he probably needed was a return to Ames as a Mountaineer.

I wish him nothing but the best from this point forward, and I hope he conquers his demons.

That being written, living in a sh!thole, a$$ backwards, white trash filled state like Missouri would be very harmful for my own personal mental health, but to each their own...
