Great first half.

King needs to play as much as his body will let him. He's on fire and KU doesn't have an answer. No need for Bob to see playing time with King able to play the 5 and Kunc back.

I suspect however, the coaching staff will continue to make scripted subs regardless of how players are playing. For whatever reason they seem reluctant and unwilling to change. It would be nice for the media to grill then and make them give some BS, nonsensocal answer.

Up 12 at the half against KU. It does seem like they may know what they're doing.

Extremely polite of KU not to press us given how bad we are at handling it.
It's why maybe the most important thing for this team is just not allowing opponents to go on runs. If you don't score, you can't set up a press.

That is important for every team, but especially so for one that really struggles against the press.

Have you noticed he is prone to fouling? The idea is to keep him fresh and foul free at the end of the game. I guess when I talked to Kyle Green and he told me all this makes him stupid too. Notice where I’m from dumb ****

You are an idiot.

I understand overall concepts but foul trouble is becoming increasingly less of an issue with Shoon. Basically it hasn't been a problem save for maybe 1 gaem in the last 10. Fatigue is real, but again how will he eventually be able to play more minutes if we NEVER make him do just that. Moreover...genius...the point was he was showing no signs of fatigue in THIS game. You know, the game that's happening and that we are talking about. Why would you take him out there?

Again his minutes are basically on a ******* script. That's beyond dumb, regardless of what Kyle Green or anyone else says.

******* hate KU
Grill was assaulted at the rim on the steal & take to the cup
Kunz back increases our charge-taking by several times - Wilson frustrated after his 2nd foul
Don't stop the body blows & pound continue to pound these ******* inside

I'm typically not a must win guy, but after last game this is close to that. Got to bring this one home. Guys shouldn't have any trouble staying locked in.
It’s more of a must win because we have to go on the road to Morgantown next, and that place is one of the toughest road games in the country.

Kansas getting called for the travel at the end of the half might be the most unexpected twist in college basketball this year. Never happens.

Have you thought that the foul trouble has ended since he gets rotated out frequently? Fouls happen due to fatigue. TJ is demanding a high effort defensive effort. You can't do that for 30 minutes as a big. Get 25 quality minutes from him and keep him rested and without fouls for the end of the game when you need him.

The same reason why Osun was dominating and taken out at the 16:30 mark.

Our staff has no concept of "flow of the game". One of KUs weaknesses, against us, is guarding the post. Osun was unstoppable yet was taken out as if on a script. Then King comes in and is taken out when dominating

Instead of making it EASIER for opponents to come back maybe the staff should focus on making it harder. Makes no sense.
Candidate for coach of the year has no concept of the game. Bold take.

Up 12 at the half against KU. It does seem like they may know what they're doing.

I love it when people say things like this. The easy counter is we could potentially, maybe even likely, be up MORE if King played more minutes and if Bob played less? It's not about contentment rather maximizing potential in every situation in every game. Given how he's playing do you think we are maximizing potential by playing King 10 minutes? No, we are doing KU a favor, much like we did last game with Lipsey (not being taken out) and Jones.

If King plays the minutes be should be getting last game there is a 99% chance we win that game. I don't get why these things are so hard for people to understand.

They don’t have the bench depth to press. They would get so worn out
Self will do it at some point if this balloons only because they would have no choice. He likely wants to see if they can chip into this and then maybe bring it out in the final ten minutes or sporadically to see if we’ve learned anything.

If he doesn’t bring it out at all despite their bench, then KU media should absolutely ask him about it because not doing it at any point based on our last two games would be terrible coaching. This is if KU loses that is.

Isn’t it Tom Creen or something like that. Was the old Indiana and Marquette coach I think.
