I feel pretty uneasy about free throws. At least we shot them better than threes today but not sure anyone but Gabe made a three. Going to be hard when we have a late lead without better free throw shooting.

Osun has really come back to earth in FTs. It’s disappointing, he could have 15-18 ppg if he started hitting them like he did to start the year. Unfortunately he has been a poor Ft shooter in his career, so the beginning of the year was the exception.

Ball didn't touch anything after it hit the rim...It hit nothing.

Pretty sure ball can go behind backboard so long as it is not out of bounds or touches back of backboard.

Apparently ball behind is out...thought it had to touch something.
I linked the rule and rule book in here somewhere in this thread. If you want it, I can pass it along again.

Do you read the game day thread?
I'm far more concerned about Grill than losing a road game in conf..

We cannot afford to be down 2 starters.

We played poorly offensively in 2nd half and yes officials missed a ton of calls that went Okie st way

--Goaltending on Holmes shot
--Lipsey was fouled on his layup at end
-- Osun missed dunk literally hit nothing and went high in air and landed in bounds yet officials blew whistle and gave it to okie st. LMFAO awful call.
-- Not to mention 28-12 FT shooting diff in this game..

All that said a 2pt loss on road happens...Need to refocus quickly for Kstate game Tuesday...

Getting Grill back and healthy might be most important item rest of season.

We’ve had games with high profile bad calls in ncaa, home games and b12t, but games where you get jobbed most of the 40 minutes are b12 road games like today.

I mean just the entire game was a steady stream of wtf and two sets of rules. Some of our fans acting dumb right now as if ok st doesn’t play the same aggressive style of d. It’s not a team like Iowa where they play d without contact, ok st wants to play d like ISU.

ISU was aggressive on both ends in the paint, ok st was aggressive on d and took long jumpers for 30 minutes. It’s rare that the first gets dramatically less fouls, usually the opposite.

Yeah, unfortunately. I was expecting much better due to his start to the season (over 80%).

OSU 9-21 from 3PT and 16-28 from the FT line.
ISU 2-9 from 3PT and 7-12 from the FT line.

We must have gotten killed.

It was ruled offensive goal tending since Schoon hung on the rim after it flung up per Travis Hines.

Congrats to coach boynton for the biggest upset of his life apparently

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that if T J. had been as fired up after a win against a Top 15 team after coming back from being double digits down that half of the posters on here would be creaming themselves.

Let's stop the hypocrisy on this one.

This team? Sounds like this is more personal than that for you. They aren't full of 5 stars like Kansas. They don't have the luxury of having bad nights and still winning consistently. Maybe in 5 years? Right now we should be happy with where we are at.

I'm not upset with the team or the effort and its not personal for me.
Not an overly talented team but they way they play together, for each other, and have played against top tier teams, they are very much in Big 12 race.

I know the Big 12 is very tough, but the top of the Big 12 is down. Conference is very much for the taking.

We have 2 top 7 wins for the year. The resume is very much made. It would take an incredible meltdown to not make the tourney. That should not be this teams goal.

I don’t even care about the ft disparity for points because missing them is identical to a turnover…but the disparity in foul trouble always matters.

One of our Hoiball years we won a lot of games coming back from way down in the same season, it was that team’s normal style.

ISU was down by like 8 with a minute left in the 'Naz' shot in March '14 vs. OSU.

That was a rough game until he hit the three.

.....what? I feel like that makes even less sense. It's offensive goaltending if he touches the ball while hanging on the rim, not hanging on the rim after missing a dunk?

It's basketball. Teams give up leads like that ALL THE TIME.
Yeah, teams like Iowa with crap defenses.

For being the 6th ranked defensive team in college basketball we sure do give up huge leads. We just blew a 20 point lead in Norman a couple weeks ago in another game we could have easily lost.

We also blew a double digit lead in a couple minutes against Villanova that almost cost us a loss.
