I’m beginning to wonder if the 2020 Big 12 Championship was the peak for Iowa State football. Think that’ll be the best it’ll get in my lifetime. We had the opportunity to take a massive step forward as a program and instead let it slip away. Just about everything since then has been a colossal disaster.

Well, this pretty much seals what I've been thinking for a few weeks now. I think we're running what Campbell wants us to be running. Everyone complaining about Manning really need to start accepting the obvious reality that Campbell is 100% behind Manning and is just as much the architect of the playbook and play-calling as Manning.

What’s worse is that the big 12 isn’t even that strong. Baylor turned out to be mediocre, OK State imploded, Kansas came back to reality, and Tech is a .500 team.
It hasn't been for years.

Comparing CMC's success to previous coaches that faced a stacked Big12 and Big 8 is insulting to previous teams and their success.

Right? I’ve heard people say “atleast we aren’t losing 70-7 anymore”. Well yes, we also aren’t facing prime RGIII and his weapons on offense anymore.

Tally up another classic for Close Call Campbell. Did anybody think there was even the slightest chance of us marching down for the game winner after the second TT TD? No way.

CMC needs to take a long look in the mirror, make some changes on the Offensive staff, and give the new staff the freedom to do whatever they want. He let the defense do a major overhaul and that has basically made his career here so far. Now he needs to do the same on the O to save it. Another year of trying this same thing will be his end.

I don’t know why everyone doesn’t realize this, Campbell was the HC at Toledo after being OC when Manning was O-Line only coach. He has his hands all over the play calls. Doesn’t mean Manning shouldn’t be replaced but for actual change it’s going to require a Campbell sign off.

after hearing the post game show tonight, I’m almost convinced Matt is just cashing a check at this point. He liked the play calls, loves the players. I commend him for not throwing kids under the bus, but for ***** sake, at least act like you lost the game. If I had tuned in without knowing the score, I’d have thought we won. I’m starting to think the “Awe gee shucks, love the players, great men, good molding.” Is all he has to offer. He sure as **** has a lot of issues with game time decisions and saving time outs for when they might be needed, I told my wife when they took the 2nd time out, “That’s going to kill us.”

There’s no way Matt has quit the team given how hard they’re playing.
