Holy ****. I’m now on board with Hummel getting drafted takes. Ian tweeting about him is huge.

I'm still stunned by those numbers. No way I thought he would put those up after watching him play. Good for him.

This is either a favor to Hummel's agent or a BFD!! I hope it's the later.

Jake was AWESOME for us and I really wish we hadn't burned his freshman year on special teams. Would have really helped this years roster
Have a feeling this is the case. Ian & Schefter's of the world do this for agents so they get the bigger "scoops" from them down the road.

Yeah but they don’t just do it for anyone. Otherwise you’d see these all the time.

He still got five years with his COVID year.

He might get drafted off his pro day numbers just like Kene did.
I thought Kene got drafted off of these numbers:

Kick Returns
*2020Iowa StateBig 12SRRB121955028.9

CareerIowa State92247026.81

I suppose if anyone didn't already know that he was faster than greased lightning his pro day numbers proved it. But heck, there was a lot of film out there where he was dropping some really fast corners like they were running in mud.

Jake's draft profile lists his speed as the first skill negative and he's the probably the second fastest LB in the draft. Who writes this stuff?
With guys with later draft stocks this happens. Scouts have so many players to evaluate that they’ll usually get lazy with more obscure prospects.

True, but it is a pretty easy aspect to verify. Unlike how they are in coverage or at shedding blocks - subjective things - there is a simple number they can compare to others. Lazy indeed.
