I just walked out to get the mail, and slid on the pavement most of the way. Be careful if you're driving anywhere, it looks slick.

Heard a crash. Looked outside and some poor 16 year old had blasted the curb while turning onto our street. Are the front wheels supposed to point the same direction?
we're thinking about leaving the des moines area for the mbb game....are the roads in ames too icy?
My buddy just called and said he was on the way to the game and multiple cars were overturned in the ditch so decided to turn around. This would be East of Ames on hwy 30.
I was going to go up to the game, but decided not to cause I heard the roads were bad coming between Ames to Des Moines from multiple people.

I live in north Ames and the streets are completely covered. I've seen one car drive by our street in the last hour and it wasn't setting any speed records.
Please don't risk it coming to Ames right now...it is completely ice covered and have watched 3 vehicles not get up our apartment drive and its only a 2% grade at most...please do not try! I have seen 2 people try to stop to pull off of our road and slide right past the intersection and just park their cars! It is very slippery out so please don't risk it.
