That's Hunter right there honestly. He was picking them up deep and they couldn't get past him.
Absolutely. His footwork is amazing, along with ability to “ice” the ball handler and keep him away from the middle of the court.

the flashy steals and dunks get the attention, but he brings the little stuff at an elite level every possession.

He’s sooo damn smooth. Everything looks effortless. I hope we get 2 more years from him. He could be a star.
It's almost like he doesn't know how good he is. He has awesome touch in the post with both hands and that usually translates to good shooting in the long run. Pretty cool to have an athletic 6'-8" guy to do whatever we need in the given game.

One thing that stuck out to me last night was that Enaruna is a good inch or 2 taller than Murray. I'm guessing we'll see his usage go up as the season goes on. Really excited by his potential.
Yeah it was funny listening to the lineups because they listed both Conditt and PMac as the same height I think and Conditt has a good 2 inches and maybe more on him. Think both were listed as 6’9”

That goes back to TJ's no shoe height haha. I like it that way. Whenever I see a college basketball player in person I'm always surprised how small they are. When I met George I was shocked how by how tall he looks. I'm 6'-3" and it feels like he's a foot taller than me.

Yeah it really was apparent with Tyrese and Toussaint standing next to one another. Toussaint is probably only 5’9”.

It’s a complete flip compared to Prohm who had Tyler Harris listed as 5’9” but was actually about 5’7” lol

I rewatched the game today, and it was a butt kicking pretty much the whole way. Really frustrated the Iowa offense, and great job on the offensive glass to prevent the easy baskets. for the most part ISU handled the Iowa press, and got several dunks after breaking it. Couple mistakes in there, but to be expected from a team with so many new guys.

Kind of surprised that Fran didn't get very red last night. I supposed when you team is getting kicked all over the court adding a couple T's is only going to make it worse.

I think ‘J Bo’ has supplanted Jeff Moe as the most hated Hawkeye ever. And I didn’t think that was possible.

Isu is way better conditioned. Prohm never had his guys in shape, tj on the other hand has these guys in incredible physical shape

impressive
I don't want to get on the Prohm hate wagon but what the hell did he do here? After seeing a team with defensive rotations, make adjustments in a game. Recognize a change in defense and adjust to it. See players block out and team rebound. Honestly, what the hell did Prohm do in practice?

We're just mentally tougher than they are.
This is how ISU is winning. The defense is good but offensively they are patient and make the other team work on both ends of the court and over the course of the game you can see the other team slowly crack. The team is winning by breaking the opposition mentally. The only team I've seen being able to match our intensity the longest is Xavier. It'll be interesting to see how we fair against teams that have high mental fortitude and talent.

I said in another thread that some time I'd like to learn the specifics of the differences in Conditt's experience.

Like what was communication like, etc.

For whatever reason the players right now seem to know where they stand and I'm not sure that was the case prior.

I've seen him make about 2/3 of those 3-pointers, so not enough data to draw conclusions. But his form looks perfect and he all net, so hope for improvement going forward.

Yeah and I don't mean 'uh-oh' like he shouldn't shoot but like 'look who else you have to account for'.
