I think ‘J Bo’ has supplanted Jeff Moe as the most hated Hawkeye ever. And I didn’t think that was possible.
I don't think it would be possible to come up with THE most hated hawkeye ever, as there are simply too many possibilities. In the early to mid 1980's, we really hated Steve Carfino, a flashy California PG.

Having said that, I'd probably vote for JorBo because he's just an all-around bad guy. My wife does medical research at University of Iowa Hospitals and has a female scholarship athlete working part-time in the lab; the young lady calls him reprehensible and an embarrassment to the athletic department. Apparently even his contemporaries don't like him...

Chris Kingsbury. Him versus JorBo would be the ultimate douche off.

Conner had potential but he is only a shell of his former self.

McCabe for a while but he redeemed himself when he told hoks to **** off

This is how ISU is winning. The defense is good but offensively they are patient and make the other team work on both ends of the court and over the course of the game you can see the other team slowly crack. The team is winning by breaking the opposition mentally. The only team I've seen being able to match our intensity the longest is Xavier. It'll be interesting to see how we fair against teams that have high mental fortitude and talent.

Creighton held out for quite awhile as well, but like Xavier they too broke at the end.

I don't want to get on the Prohm hate wagon but what the hell did he do here? After seeing a team with defensive rotations, make adjustments in a game. Recognize a change in defense and adjust to it. See players block out and team rebound. Honestly, what the hell did Prohm do in practice?

Good question. Maybe three guys on the current team might say down the road.

One thing that stuck out to me last night was that Enaruna is a good inch or 2 taller than Murray. I'm guessing we'll see his usage go up as the season goes on. Really excited by his potential.
How I feel about Enaruna.

I wonder the same thing. He recruited plenty of talent but the team on the floor looked directionless. As I said after the Memphis game, this team is worth watching just because of the effort alone.

Starting all-team douche/gomer team for Iowa:
Bohannon & Kingsbury could be co-captains
Jeff Moe & Jacob Jaacks
Adam Woodbury at center.
6th Man: Zach McCabe

Pretty good although they would've been better if stupid ESPN had sent Fran and the other dude to the actual game to announce. Their mics would've picked them up even better and the crowd noise would've sounded so much better on my surround sound.

and their reactions would have actually been in time with the damn game.

seriously, I don’t understand how it is that a place like ESPN hasn’t figured out how to properly sync up the audio and the video for the broadcast.

Great effort by the Clones. Haven't gotten the chance to watch much this year, but what stuck out was the offense's ability to beat the full course press by Iowa for what seemed like 4 or 5 really easy buckets.

I remember the Niang era days where outside of West Virginia, you really welcomed the opponent trying to full court press the Clones. This offense is not like that, but still capable when pressured. Very encouraging.

Question: What is more insulting to your opponent than leaving your autographed shoes at midcourt?

Answer: Standing at midcourt intentionally dribbling the shot clock out because you don't want to embarrass them any further.

And if Iowa goes on to lose 20 games like that ISU team did, draining out the clock will look like it made sense.

They got screwed up a few times and had some bad turnovers vs. Iowa overplaying the lanes but it seems like TJ will always find something that needs work so win/win.

The offense doesn't light the world on fire but the movement and patience for good shots is undervalued.

The great thing about Fran, is that he’s always going to have a mediocre team. The perfect type of coach that you want at Iowa. The last thing we need is for them to fire Fran, and then get lucky hiring a good coach by mistake.

To Fran's credit the last 2 years Iowa had a really good team.
However a lot of Fran's other team's strength was... a fast break offense. :jimlad: Which by late season was not exactly paying dividends. Translation: I've never been very impressed by him.

Nah, five years from now, nobody will even remember him.

They just have so many players that are so easy to hate...

Jeff Moe
Chris Kingsbury
Jacob Jaacks
Adam Woodbury
Pemsl
Connor
JBo

...and that's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more.
