Has Geoffrey's plane taken off yet? That would be the key!

and...count me out of JP fanship if this is true. I do not want Mike Stoops...and I do not want the "Stoops Bowl", or what I would like to call "Family Massacre".

Someone watch flights out of the Ames airport!

Easier said then done when tailgating season comes around

Except you could tailgate 3 more hours through the game!

90% of the time Marty is full of s***. I don't think he is right about this one, JP has to do better than Stoops. I would take Fulmer in a heartbeat over Stoops. Loney would be loyal, not proven head coach though. PLEASE PLEASE JP get this one right.

I have more faith in JP than to pick Stoops. This would by far be the biggest egg he has laid here.

If chosen, the fans will follow wins rather than what happened with War Eagle dbag.

I cannot believe it would be Mike Stoops. It doesn't make sense and I'm on board with the he's done nothing camp.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm firmly entrenched in the Loney camp.

Yes... look at that schedule. Let's run down the quality teams they beat....

1......................................???................................................
Beat? USC has as much or more speed than OU or UT, let alone Tech, Missouri or OSU. Remind me, how did we fare against those teams? Stoops only lost 17-10.

However, I will heed cysbball20's warnings about personality.

You're also firmly entrenched in "we should be playing in the MAC" camp.

If you read into MT's trash blog, I feel more that this is a smokescreen. With negotiations in "final stages" being in quotes...that doesn't mean that he is the guy, just a potential candidate. People can be in negotiations right up until they are hired. HIRED is the key word.

Maybe Bobby could alert his brother of tips/leftovers in recruiting texas...we could be a like a farm team to the majors...

If it is indeed Stoops, it better not be for a pay raise. I also have to believe that it would him and JP on a short leash.
Not a fan, but I will continue to scream my balls off in freezing weather for the Cardinal and Gold.

I think Stoops would be a decent fit. It's not all that sexy, but he's had solid head coaching experience in a major conference, he has had some success, and he has Midwest ties. It seems to me he has had his "on the job" experience at Arizona and will be ready to bring it full speed here. It certainly beats the hire that Auburn just made!

I think if we did end up hiring him, it would be a big mistake. We already have the reputation of the the "little brother" of the Big 12 so we go and hire the little brother of Oklahoma's coach? Not to mention this guy has been on the hot seat at Arizona and fans are calling for him to be fired? We can and must do better.

I don't call his record a "success"

Mike Stoops already recruits Texas. In fact, at least one of his commits, Derrick Rainey, was also an ISU recruit.

stoops cannot, cannot be the hire.

this is the hire that will define Jamie's stay here at ISU.

would this turkey be his choice?
